#BastardExecutioner begins with Wilk hearing his pretend wife Jessamy having a nightmare then the baby cries and he picks the child up and cuddles it close. The baby regards him. Love finds Isabel by the fire – they are riding for London. She sips Isabel’s liquor and coughs. Milus is working with a map. Some robed and hooded men break into a gated area. Nora wakes and says run as if speaking to the men in her vision. There are two groups of men engaged in close combat. A man at the gate throws a small torch into a hay filled room. They were carrying a scroll that has a tree emblem on it.

The one man rips the other man’s robe open and we see a tattoo on his back that’s similar to Nora’s back tat. She looks at scroll on her wall and says – please protect him. Wilk dreams of his dead wife – he lies in bed with her and asks why she still loves him when he couldn’t protect her. She says love is unconditional. She says their love will always exist. He says he will never love again and she says he already has. She kisses him and he realizes he’s kissing Jessamy. She says the baby’s asleep and her son is gone. She unlaces her gown and he says no. She says a husband and wife must be close.

Wilk says he will learn to be close and she says he loved her always. Luca hits the wall and wakes baby Pippa who starts crying. He touches Jessamy’s face then goes to work. A dismembered body is in a triangle and a patch of skin has been cut away. Milus and Leon see Wilk saddling a horse with Marshal. Milus asks why they go to the far caverns every day and Wilk asks why they’re spying on him. Leon tells Milus their honored guests are there. Baron Pryce is there and Jessamy explains they left in haste because they didn’t pay him. He asks who among them would know his face.

Baron Pryce is annoyed that Love is not there and Milus says she had to go to see the king and just left. The chamberlain Dire asks why he didn’t send a messenger. Milus says it would have reached him too far along the way. Pryce and his man are annoyed. Leon asks why Milus lied about when Love left then drops the subject. Marshal and Wilk plan to leave but Leon says they have to play in a tournament they are hosting. Love arrives at Windsor Castle and is greeted by Piers Gaveston, one of the king’s advisors.

He says to clean up and he will find her a proper gown to greet the king. Isabel says the man was ride and Love say she has the king’s ear. At the far caverns, Nora joins the gang and says Wilkin won’t make the ride today and they should leave and camp away. Calo asks why and she says to trust her warning and go. Ash says he’s never seen her like that. They ask again what will happen and she says she senses trouble. Berber asks if she sees what might happen. He asks where her mate is.

She says he’s gathering coral for her and says she’s frightened for them. Berber says the burden of her safety is upon them with Wilk gone. She thanks the Moor. Isabel dresses Love’s hair and Love says if she told her as a girl she’d meet the king, her heart would have burst with joy but says she has nothing but dread now. She wonders if she erred by not bringing counsel. Isabel asks if she remembered a boy named Morgan that tried to put Isabel in her place and Love whacked him with a shovel.

She says Love is the Lioness of Wales and knows her place. Isabel says she will handle this with grace and strength. Love asks what happened to Morgan and she says he was eaten by a pack of wolves who mistook him for a fat hog. She’s fibbing. Leon reports to Milus about the dismembered body. Leon says it was murder by a hideous hand. Milus says to keep the men quiet so Pryce doesn’t think Satan guards their gate. Wilk comes to see Milus and says it’s unwise for him to be there.

He says his beloved wife told him he served in Pryceshire prior to coming there. He says Sir Dyer would know him. Milus says Dyer will be no problem since he has his head up his lord’s ass. The captured man, Tobias, is being tortured. They tell him they want to find the other seraphim so they can translate it. Tobias says there is nothing more to take from him. The torturer prepares to take his eye. Sir Cormac comes to see them – it’s singer Ed Sheeran – OMG! Cormac asks the priest if Tobias talked.

He didn’t and the priest tells Cormac to take over. He tells the torturer to take his eye and Tobias screams as he does. The priest is the Archdeacon of Windsor. Galveston introduces him to Love. She tries to ask Galveston a question and he ignores her and focuses on her appearance before telling her to wait in the king’s day chamber. Pryce comments that the shire has more debts than resources. Milus points out they could easily build a port that would make them the center of all imports.

Pryce says that’s a decision for the king and Milus says he knows Pryce had a similar plan to create a port. Pryce says the dead baron taxed them horribly and he won’t make them a loan. Milus says the shire could be his. Milus says by wedding Love, Pryce would gain control and the king would lose influence there. Pryce says he’s married and Milus says he heard his wife Trula’s consumption is progressing fast. Pryce asks if Love would do this and he says she will do anything to keep her land.

Pryce says there are two obstacles – Dyer, his current chamberlain since Milus wants to be the new chamberlain. Pryce says god may see fit to return his wife to good health. Milus says he will give deep thought to both of these. Love sits at the king’s table which is groaning with food. Isabel is annoyed they’ve been left waiting two hours and says Love must be starving. Love says you can never eat before the king. Love tells her to sit and hush. She does.

Isabel says she doesn’t like the French and Love says they will survive her scorn. Wilk works while Luca looks at the bible. Jessamy comes in and sees Wilk and Luca talking. He asks if Luca can read and he says his father told him he was too dull-minded. He asks if his father hurt them. Luca says they deserved it. Wilk says no innocent deserves to be hurt and says Luca is a bright boy, not dull of mind. He says he’ll teach him how to read if he helps alleviate his mother’s concerns.

Luca asks if he can still call him father and he says of course. Jessamy leaves them bonding. Ash runs to get Berber and says Calo is leaving and won’t say where he’s going. Calo says he’s taking Nora’s warning. Calo says they are no closer to avenging their families but says he should go. Berber says Wilk understands the plight of boys and Calo says he’s not a boy but Berber says boys run. Tobias is still alive but in horrible pain – both eyes are gone. Cormac reports to the Archdeacon that he won’t talk.

The Archdeacon sends Cormac to the map room to find out where Tobias may have been heading at the port. Then he tells the torturer to do to him what he did the others and they cut his arms off and drag his torso away. The Archdeacon is the one having the bodies left. Love sits at the table waiting. A man comes and swaps out food and Isabel asks the servant if they are in the right chamber for the king. The man bows. Love says the king’s servants don’t speak outside their station.

Isabel says she’s lost here and can’t help her. She goes to sit in the corner. Love says bollocks and starts to eat. She and Isabel dig into the food and then leave the chamber. It’s time for the tournament back at the shire. Men fight in mock combat and spectators laugh. Wilk frets at being recognized. Milus approaches Wilk and mocks him saying warrior’s clothing suit him as if he was born to wear them then promises his identity will not be revealed. Wilk goes back to stand by Marshal.

Marshal is next and he fights with a long staff and makes short work of his opponent. Calo sits by his fire and sees riders coming. He runs to hide then calls himself a coward. Ash sleeps in the lean to and Berber and Ash are surrounded. They tell them they’ve been placed in custody of the court until their guilt is determined. Calo show sup and joins the fray. Nora hears the fight. Pryce says Milus’ men are schooling his in the art of warfare. Milus says that army could be his.

Dyer walks over and tells Milus he’s letting the twins disgrace the baron with public flirting. Milus says the men are disgracing his and then points out the executioner and says he’s not even a soldier. Leon annoys Wilk then says he needs a greater challenge and comes at him with a real sword instead of a metal one. Wilk stops short of running him through – Marshal stops him. Leon has to take the defeat in stride. Dyer recognizes he’s not Maddox the executioner. Milus is setting Wilk up to take the guy out.

Love and Isabel lie sleeping in their chamber when Galveston comes in. He says the king is ready to see him and she asks in the middle of the night. The man touches her inappropriately and she pushes his hand away. He tells her to meet the king in the garden. Love agrees with Isabel and says she doesn’t like the French either. Love finds the men in the garden shooting flaming arrows. Galveston points out Love to the king. She kneels and Edward offers sympathy on her husband’s passing.

He says she’s a little golden beetle. The king brushes her aside and Love says she was called to receive counsel on the future of her shire. Edward says Galveston will talk to his chancellor about it and Galveston says they will make a sound decision. Longshanks doesn’t give a damn about her. Galveston offers to walk her back to her chamber. Love asks if he knew all along that he would hand his fate to her. Galveston says the king finds the marsh territories a frustration.

Love takes Galveston to task and says she married Ventris with the agreement that her family would travel to Scotland. Galveston touches her face and says the only agreements that matter are those she makes now. She takes his hand off her face and says the little golden beetle will crawl back to her marshland dung heap. She walks away. Dyer comes to see Wilk in the punishment chamber and says he’s not Maddox. Milus is with him. Milus thanks him for keeping the suspicion to himself.

Dyer says he’ll inform Pryce. Milus punches the man hard knocking him out then tells Wilk to kill him to keep himself safe. Wilk says he’s not a man who does this and goes to walk out. He sees Ash, Calo and Berber. Milus says hose men were taken into custody on suspicion of a satanic murder. Milus says everyone he loves is dead or in his grasp to harm. He tells Wilk that Dyer is one hell will welcome. He says to make the death look like an accident and Milus will make sure the ruling goes that way.

He walks out leaving Wilk little choice than to kill the man. Dyer comes to and sees Wilk staring at a bible and says his soul is false. Wilk knocks him back and chokes him on food that was on Wilk’s dinner tray. He forced an “accidental” choking on food. Galveston comes to talk to Love as she’s packing to leave. He says they will divide the shire into thirds. He says two will go to other shires and the third he will keep for himself. Love asks if that’s final and Galveston says it’s most final and tells her safe journey.

Love says the gown will be of no use and neither will the decree they’re planning since she’s pregnant with an heir. She says that was the news she came to share with the king but never got a chance. She wishes him farewell. She calls to Isabel who scurries after her. Galveston is furious. Pryce asks Milus if Love never asked him to come for a visit. Milus says they need to talk and Milus says Dyer’s death choking on fowl bones was a weak way to die.

Pryce says Milus is clever but says he should treat him with caution. He promises that Milus will hear from him soon. Ash is dropped into a hole and Wilk’s other compatriots are tormented and dropped into the hole as well. The Archdeacon looks at the tattoed skin of the men he carved off their bodies. He has them all pinned to a wall. Cormac comes to tell him he narrowed it to a handful of locations including Ventrishire. Nora’s back is all the man needs to have the information he wants.

Nora crosses out a star with a circle on it to mark the death of Tobias. Wilk comes home and finds Jessamy about to burn Luca. She says Maddy did this, not her, as he always did when they needed correction. Wilk comforts the scared boy and tells him he’s here. He gives him a carved horse he made for him. Wow. Wife #2 is a lunatic.
