“The Bold and The Beautiful” (B&B) spoilers hint that as Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) pregnancy progresses, so will problems between her and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) primarily due to the fact of whom is the father of her baby.
Ridge had Caroline convinced that the right thing to do is keep the fact from Thomas Forrester (Pierson Fode) that he’s her baby daddy. What Ridge really means is that it’s better for the two of them – not necessarily better for Thomas.
What helped bolster Ridge’s case to keep lying to Thomas is his son’s philandering with multiple models at Forrester Creations then his interference in Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) and Ivy Forrester’s (Ashleigh Brewer) relationship.
Perhaps Ridge was worried that if Thomas had no problem getting with Wyatt’s girl, that he might go after Caroline if he knew about the baby. But this is no minor secret like not telling someone that you dented their car or ate the last piece of chocolate.
The secret is hard on both of them but much harder for Caroline, especially when she watches Ridge be so hard on Thomas. Plus, there’s another factor in play here – you know the saying that “three can keep a secret, if two of them are dead…”
Well three are in on this secret and all of them are alive and well – that means it won’t stay secret long. Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) knows about Ridge’s vasectomy – but not who the baby’s father is – at least not yet.
Brooke or someone else – perhaps even Thomas himself – will hear Ridge and Caroline talking and the truth will come out. But once Thomas knows he’s Caroline’s baby daddy, could he come between Ridge and Caroline?
There’s an intimate bond between a couple that shares a child and this could kick in between Caroline and Thomas. B&B spoilers indicate that the paternity secret will be revealed in early 2016 and that it will put so much pressure on Caroline and Ridge’s marriage that they may split.
Will Thomas step up and grow closer to Caroline because of the baby and start playing house with his father’s wife? It would be a major change of lifestyle for playboy Thomas to settle with one woman and raise a child – but maybe it’s exactly what he needs to straighten him out.
Or will Thomas be man enough only to step up for the child, but keep Caroline at arm’s reach so he doesn’t foul up his relationship with his father? Or will Thomas be so mad at his father for lying and trying to keep his son from him that all bets are off?
