“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers discuss a second devil and who this deadly individual may be! Y&R revealed that one man behind the devil mask is none other than, Ian Ward [Ray Wise]. At the moment, no details are being released about the second devil parading around the burning Newman Enterprises building, the one who locked Cane up. Is it possible that Gabriel Bingham [Justin Hartley] could be alive and Ian’s secret partner?
There is no denying that Ian has a serious axe to grind with the Newman family, not only with Victor [Eric Braeden] but with his long-lost son, Adam [Justin Hartley]. Many fans felt that Ian Ward had to be one of the villains in the attack based on he was a main person who created the Paragon Project. The real mystery is, who is the second person behind the devil mask? Is it possible that Gabriel Bingham could be haunting Genoa City?
The fact is if he was in GC, it would be hard to figure out at first. Adam was parading around the town wearing his face. If someone saw him walking down the street, they’d likely think it is Adam, and not Gabe. It would be the perfect cover-up to allow him to plan his revenge on the Newman’s.
The general thought with the “The Young and the Restless” loyal fans was that Gabriel Bingham was involved in the Newman Gala fire in some way. It is based on the speculation that Gabriel Bingham was the driver who ran down Delia [Sophie Pollono] over two years ago.
Sage [Kelly Sullivan] was with Gabriel Bingham the night Adam almost died at Delia’s memorial site. If he didn’t hit her, why were they there, and out of the cars ready and willing to help Adam?
It looks like the answer lies in what we do know about Sage and Gabriel. She told Adam that they were there because Gabriel had done something he felt bad about, and he was getting away, briefly. Sage suggested that he could have been the one who killed Delia – not Adam.
Sage told Adam that he had a problem with alcohol and was often wild, disappearing for days, weeks or even months without checking in with Constance Bingham [Sally Kellerman]. Sage left it open to admit, at some point, that Gabe hit Delia on that night, after a night of drinking behind the wheel.
Sage explained that Gabriel was filled with rage towards the Newmans for taking his father’s company from him and blamed them for his father taking his own life. He wanted the Newman’s to suffer – and felt that they should know what it is like to lose everything. It makes Gabriel the perfect person to suspect as the second man behind the devil mask.
Sage arranged for the identities to be switched, and it isn’t that far-fetched that she helped Gabriel get away thinking that he would split town to never resurface again. It is possible that at some point, the plan was to reunite, share the inheritance money, and live happily ever after. Only, Sage mess it all up; she fell in love with the enemy – Victor Newman’s [Eric Braeden] son, Nicholas [Joshua Morrow].
Justin Hartley explained in an interview recently that he would embark on a very demanding role on “The Young and the Restless.” He has portrayed good ‘ol Adam Newman for over a year; what could they throw at him that would be difficult now? It seems to imply that he will be playing a double role- Adam Newman and Gabriel Bingham.
It seems likely that Gabriel will be the key to Adam’s freedom. CBS Soaps in Depth reported that the person jack [Peter Bergman] trusts the most [Adam] would blindside him with backstabbing him and Victor.
