‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: New Character 'Lucas' - Cane Tosses Lily Out – Victor Hits Neil, Nikki Wants Separation

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, July 10, tease that Cane (Daniel Goddard) will give Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) updates on his wife’s actions as they chat in the park. Cane will say that Lily (Christel Khalil) admitted to sleeping with Joe (Scott Elrod). When Michael (Christian LeBlanc) arrives, Cane will rip into him for scheming and ruining his marriage.

Lily will encounter a surprisingly sympathetic Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) at the athletic club. They’ll urge Lily not to give up hope. A short time later, Lily will tell Cane that she thinks they can work things out. Cane will shut Lily down and let her know she’s moving out.

At the police station, Victor (Eric Braeden) will bribe an officer into giving him a cell phone. When Victor calls Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Neil (Kristoff St. John) will answer. Victor will be annoyed and demand that Neil put Nikki on or send her to the station. Neil will say Nikki isn’t coming and Victor will indicate that this isn’t Neil’s decision. Later, Neil will show up to see Victor and declare that he intends on protecting Nikki. Victor will insist that Nikki will never leave him, but Neil will say he plans on making her understand what a liar and thief Victor is. Victor will sock Neil right to the ground.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Nikki will decide she has to see Victor. Nikki will explain that she had another drinking binge because of the stress Victor has placed on her. He’ll try to tell Nikki he loves her and she’ll reply that Victor needs to let her go. Victor will say that he didn’t shoot Jack in cold blood and he can’t make it through all of this without Nikki.

At Avery’s (Jessica Collins) deposition, Avery will say Dylan (Steve Burton) tied Joe to a chair, but she never saw him become violent. Obviously, Avery wants to cover for Dylan as best she can. Joe, on the other hand, may be going down. Once the deposition is over, Joe will tell Avery that he’s sorry she has to go through this, but he’s not her attacker. Avery won’t buy it and she’ll refuse to help clear Joe’s name.

After chatting with Dylan, Sharon (Sharon Case) will express concern about Dylan’s involvement in everything that’s going on with Joe. Avery will imply that Dylan isn’t the one to be worried about. At Dylan’s deposition, he’ll lash out at Joe for his pursuit of Avery and the abuse she suffered in her marriage. Once that’s wrapped up, Dylan will return to Sharon at Crimson Lights. Sharon will want him to stay away from Avery for the baby’s sake. Dylan will urge Sharon not to worry, but they’ll soon notice that his gun is missing. Across town, Avery will show up at Joe’s place and say they have to settle this now.

Paul (Doug Davidson) will get a phone call about some new evidence and he’ll tell the person on the other end to “bring him in.” Meanwhile, Lauren will let Michael know that she’s leaving to pay Fen (Max Ehrich) a visit. Michael will admit that he was wrong to do things this way and the cancer isn’t really to blame. Michael will realize that forgiveness is a lot to expect from Lauren.

In other news, a casting call points to some intriguing storylines ahead. According to Daytime Confidential, Y&R is looking for someone to play “Luca.” This recurring role is for “a Spanish male in his mid-20s to early 30s, who is a member of a noble dynasty.” Luca will also be “sexy, charismatic and a real lady killer.” It sounds like he’ll fit right in with the rest of the CBS soap’s hunks.
