Recent Big Brother 18 spoilers hint that CBS may be rigging the game to help Paulie. The Wednesday, August 17 BB18 episode was heavily edited to make Paulie appear sympathetic when, in fact, he has been offensive, abusive, and non-compliant. So why the whitewash of Paulie Calafiore? Does Paulie have the Round Trip ticket?
Since the envelopes are numbered, Big Brother knows who’s sitting on the Round Trip ticket. You have to give it to the guy – Paulie is good TV to watch – but he’s been truly awful in the BB18 house, but only Life Feed watchers know this. His antics are sanitized by CBS edits to make him look like a good guy. Why would CBS do that?
If you watched last night’s BB18 episode, you saw Paulie blindsided by a nomination and then pitiful and crying while Natalie comforted him. This made him appear sympathetic. Social media comments by those who obviously DO NOT watch Live Feeds were kind to Paulie and said they felt bad for him.
It appears CBS was blatantly manipulating viewers that only watch “official” network episodes. Live Feed watchers went nuts on social media blasting BB18 for covering up Paulie’s shameful antics. If you watched the episode, with no Live Feed info, you would think Paulie is a victim, not a perpetrator of heinous acts and hate speech.
Here’s a list (although not all-inclusive) of Paulie’s awful behavior:
#1 Paulie told the houseguests that he and Zakiyah had sex a bunch of times, said they didn’t use protection and then bragged that he refused to kiss her on the mouth
#2 Paulie repeatedly tried to guilt HGs telling them his aunt has cancer and he needs money to pay for her treatments
#3 Ranted about self-evicting or skipping the Jury House and generally making it clear that he’s incapable of playing Big Brother if everything isn’t going his way 100%
#4 Repeatedly promised to save Corey but then stole the PoV from him at the comp even though he knew that James or Victor would take it from him anyway
#5 Paulie tried to avoid eviction by saying he’s claustrophobic and can’t stay in jury, said he lied to CBS about psychological issues then later said that was a lie
#6 Paulie repeatedly refused to put on his Zingbot comp punishment costume, said f-k BB and that he won’t make any pies and refusing to comply for two full days
#7 Paulie ignored repeated calls to Diary Room to get his costume then came out with what looked like a modified (i.e. less embarrassing) costume and punishment
#8 Paulie threatened to hit HGs in the face, said he would ruin Natalie, his sister will beat the sh*t out of Michelle and Bridgette, and got violent at Double Eviction
#9 Paulie off the rails and awful at PoV meeting – did you notice that CBS skipped the statements that are usually on the episode asking the HoH to use the PoV on them?
#10 Paulie repeatedly attacked Natalie for having breast implants, targeted Bridgette for eviction after she said she’s a feminist – he even compared feminism to racism!!
#11 Paulie raged at every houseguest (except Nicole and Corey) over his nomination even though Victor reminded him he didn’t act like this when Paulie nominated him
#12 Paulie bawled about nom yet intentionally made the girls cry including Zakiyah – he berated her and said he liked making all the girls cry – he even laughed about it
#13 All-around awful, non-compliant, babyish, spoiled behavior and not manning up and dealing with the fact that he was nominated which is part of playing Big Brother
Why would CBS clean up Paulie and make him look better to viewers?
Since CBS knows whether or not Paulie has the Round Trip ticket – and assuming he does – whitewashing his behavior and making him look pathetic right as they’re promoting America’s Care Package voting, they could be swaying things to help Paulie win the co-HoH advantage which would further advance his game.
There was also talk by Live Feed watchers that the DR encouraged Victor to NOT nominate Paulie. This may sound like a conspiracy theory, but after the heavy-handed edit that made Paulie appear sympathetic, maybe it’s true. One thing is clear – if Paulie has the Round Trip ticket, social media will explode after CBS manipulation.
