“Days of Our Lives” (DOOL) spoilers tease that we finally know when we can expect Sonny (Freddie Smith) back in Salem. According to Soap Opera Digest, Sonny will be popping up sometime in July.
DOOL still hasn’t released any details about the storylines Sonny will be involved in, but set pictures seem to hint that he’ll be visiting a sick loved one in the hospital.
Perhaps a setback will leave Victor (John Aniston) in need of urgent medical care. If things look bleak, Sonny will undoubtedly want to come and support Uncle Vic. Depending on how long his stint is, Sonny will likely branch out to other storylines after that.
We could see Sonny interact with Paul (Christopher Sean). Since Paul was partially brainwashed by Yo Ling (Tobin Bell), he may be headed down a dark road. Paul might need Sonny to snap him out of it. Then again, it might be another love interest that takes up the majority of Sonny’s time.
There’s been some “Days of Our Lives” buzz about the idea that Chandler Massey could reprise his role as Will. (Sorry, Guy Wilson fans. Serial Scoop confirmed Wilson won’t be playing the part if Will is brought back soon.) It’d be fun to see Will rise from the “dead.”
It’s worth mentioning that more returns are on the way. Jason47’s “Days” website hints that several surprises are in store. At least one Daytime Emmy-nominated performer will show up on DOOL this year. There could be others as well.
Chandler Massey would fit the bill, but so would performers like Eileen Davidson (Kristen), Alison Sweeney (Sami) or even James Scott (EJ)! Who knows what they’re keeping under wraps? It’s safe to say many viewers would be excited about any or all of those returns.
Word has it Leann Hunley may reprise her role as Anna, so that’s another option to consider.
Bottom line, now’s the time to tune in and get pumped for what comes next. “Days of Our Lives” is really going to heat up this summer. We’ll give you updates if we hear new information on any big returns. Stick with the NBC soap to see Sonny and anyone else who might be stopping by Salem.
