Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Chad’s (Billy Flynn) world will completely fall apart. Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) was already concerned about Thomas’ well-being. Now that Chad has confirmation on Abigail’s (Kate Mansi) death, he’ll really start to unravel.
Days fans know that Andre (Thaao Penghlis) is responsible for the stunning news of Abigail’s demise. Perhaps Andre feels like Chad will be a true DiMera if he gives up on Abigail. There’s always a chance that Chad will turn to the dark side later.
Until then, Chad’s grief will consume him. He just won’t know how he’s supposed to carry on. Chad fought extremely hard for the opportunity to be with Abigail. They managed to endure obstacle after obstacle.
When Chad was accused of murder, Abigail insisted he was innocent of the charges. After Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) kidnapped Abby, Chad pulled off an epic rescue and eventually tracked down the baby as well. Of course, Days just had to throw in some brainwashing to mess up their long-awaited reunion.
Once Chad snapped out of it, these lovebirds tied the knot. Unfortunately, Abigail’s descent into madness derailed their dream of a blissful future. Abigail committed herself to a mental institution, started a fire and finally vanished. Now Chad thinks Abby has perished in a plane crash.
All of that adds up to some dark times for Chad. He’ll begin to have even more outbursts in that lonely DiMera mansion. We’ll probably see additional drinking binges, too. Jennifer may take note of Chad’s downward spiral, but she’ll have her own problems to deal with.
In DOOL’s latest promo, Jennifer gathers with family members as she mulls over her loss. Their clothes appear to be funeral attire. Abigail’s memorial service will likely get underway soon. Jennifer will tearfully ask Jack (Matthew Ashford) to take care of their little girl.
At some point, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chad will decide to give Thomas to Jennifer. It may not be a formal custody agreement, but that’s not what Jennifer originally asked for anyway. She just wants Thomas to be in a secure environment until Chad can get his act together.
Is Chad making a mistake? Chad could become increasingly depressed if he doesn’t have his son around. Thomas is the last piece of Abigail that Chad has left. On the other hand, that fact could also add to Chad’s pain.
Meanwhile, Days of Our Lives spoilers state that Jennifer will battle her inner demons. She’ll head to a cheap motel and drown her sorrows with booze. Jennifer will end up popping a few pills and passing out. She’ll be desperate for some numbness after so much heartbreak.
Belle (Martha Madison), Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) will locate Jennifer a short time later. She’ll wake up disoriented and most likely disappointed in herself. It appears Jennifer’s custody plans could fall through. She’ll be in no condition to care for a baby.
Things aren’t going well for Abby’s loved ones. Marci Miller will debut as Abigail this fall, which means Salem is set to be shocked once again. We’ll give you updates as other details emerge.
