Singer Ed Sheeran appears to be back from his long hiatus from social media and the music world. And it appears that the ‘Rain On Me’ star could be married. Back in mid-December, Sheeran made the announcement on Instagram that he would be taking a break following his 16 month world tour.
“Hello all. I’m taking a break from my phone, emails and all social media for a while. I’ve had such an amazing ride over the last 5 years but I find myself seeing the world through a screen and not my eyes so I’m taking this opportunity of me not having to be anywhere or do anything to travel the world and see everything I missed. See you all next autumn, and thank you for being amazing.”
Ed Sheeran has been seen very little until this month when he appeared in a photo with his friend, London musician Jovel Walker, on July 24. Sheeran appeared to be relaxing on the grass in a park with a silver band on his ring finger. Sitting alongside Sheeran is Walker and his daughter. Sheeran was there to celebrate the 5th birthday of Walker’s daughter.
The photo has Ed Sheeran fans wondering if their favorite pop singer’s hiatus from the music world included a wedding to his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn. The two have reportedly been serious with one another for quite sometime now. One fan commented on Sheeran’s ring in the Instagram post. Sheeran’s friend Jovel Walker shut the possibility down with a brief response, commenting, “no hun.”
According to Huffington Post, Sheeran and his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn recently celebrated their one-year anniversary. Sheeran’s close friend Taylor Swift recognized the couple’s milestone moment at her 4th of July party. Sheeran and Seaborn posed for a picture, sharing a kiss in front of a large banner that read “Happy 1st Ed-Iver-Cherry!”
Ed Sheeran and Seaborn, who is a major hockey star, reportedly attended the same high school together at Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, Suffolk. The two rekindled their friendship and began hanging out once again last year and was spotted spending time in New York City.
Since then, their relationship has become serious with Sheeran appearing to be one very happy man. Did the couple wed at the start of Sheeran’s planned hiatus? Have they been honeymooning all of this time? As of yet, Sheeran or his reps have not responded to the singer’s possible wedding ring.
