'Finding Prince Charming' Gay Dating Reality Show Follows 'The Bachelor' Premise: Robert Sepulveda Jr. Set As First Contestant?

‘Finding Prince Charming,’ a new gay dating reality show, will be hitting the airwaves soon – and the show’s premise might look a bit familiar to other show’s currently on the air. The ABC network has seen massive success with lucky-in-love contestants looking to finally meet “the one” on national television, with millions of fans tuning in to make both ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette,’ two of the most successful reality dating shows on the market right now. But it looks like the competition is about to heat up as there’s a new Bachelor about to make some major waves, but for a totally different audience.

TMZ indicates that the LGBT-marketed network Logo is currently filming a “gay bachelor” show with Robert Sepulveda Jr. The show is tentatively being called ‘Finding Prince Charming’ and it’s hosted by former N-Sync chart topper-turned television host, Lance Bass.

Although fans so far know very little about him, reports say that he’s a Puerto Rican-born interior designer that lives in Atlanta. Apparently, 13 male contestants have also been cast on the show and filming is currently underway at an undisclosed Los Angeles-area mansion.

With so many seasons of both “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” seeing the same prototypes of single men and women looking for their dream partners while getting themselves into a whole lot of drama for the sake of that final rose, audiences will find it refreshing to tune into a show that doesn’t including as much backstabbing or manipulation that comes with several women vying for the hand of another Chris Soules or, dare I even say, Juan Pablo Galavais.

That, or multiple tell-all books, first baby photo shoots, and interviews from Bachelor couples that have managed to win the test of time, or in someone like Andi Dorfman’s case, tell the world every little dirty detail about what exactly went on in the fantasy suite while the cameras were not rolling.

So far, the ABC network has not indicated whether or not they have a problem with Logo’s knockoff show, although insiders say that it’s not a spinoff of ‘The Bachelor’ format in anyway. But just by judging at Robert Sepulveda Jr.’s good looks and wash-board abs, there’s no denying that audiences will be tuning in to what might could be Logo’s winning ticket in the cable ratings contest.
