New General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that once Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) is confirmed dead, the blame game will reach epic proportions in Port Charles and a mob war breaks out – but is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) at fault here – or is it someone else?
Consider this. Sonny had one of his flunkies hire a hit man to take out Julian Jerome (William deVry) but he didn’t want to know details so long as it looked like an accident. Then, when Sonny made the call to cancel the hit, it was too late, the bomb had already been planted.
So, when it comes to the actual bomb being on the car, that seems like the blame is on Sonny, right? But what about Ava Jerome (Maura West)? After all, Morgan would never have been in the car at all if Ava hadn’t swapped his meds and sent him into a bipolar spiral.
So is Ava to blame? Also, there’s the fact that Julian’s car would never have been at The Floating Rib with a bomb on it if not for Ava blackmailing Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) to throw the trial and set Julian free. So there’s that to consider as well. Does that change your mind?
And what about Julian’s share of the blame? If Julian had not ordered Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) killed, stabbed Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Parise), and tried to kill Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahn), he would not have been on trial. So perhaps Julian is the one to blame.
What’s clear here is that no one’s hands are clean. Sonny shouldn’t have put out a hit on Julian, Ava should have left Morgan alone, and Julian shouldn’t have been killing people either. It seems like the blame could be placed on the entire mob mess in Port Charles.
Morgan could be considered to blame, too. Although Ava tampered with his meds, he didn’t have to attack TJ Ashford (Tequan Richmond) and take the car. His brain was addled because of the med mix-up, but Morgan has been making bad choices for years.
But we don’t want to blame the victim, so it seems better to put this off on one of the three mobsters – Ava, Julian or Sonny. Perhaps it’s all three of them to blame together since they have all been making dangerous decisions for years.
What we do have to mention here is the ridiculousness of the car bomb plot. Sonny specifically told his henchman to hire someone to make it look like an accident when Julian died to be certain it couldn’t be tied back to Sonny.
How could a car bomb possibly look like an accident? The fact that Julian’s car exploded for no reason will make the cops go straight to Sonny and blame him. Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) already told Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) that she’s coming for Sonny.

In the eyes of the PCPD, Sonny is definitely to blame. Once Morgan is confirmed dead from whatever sort of remains they found, it becomes a murder case and both Ava and Julian have alibis and no motive to blow up Julian’s car.
Sonny could go to Pentonville for the death of his youngest son, even though the “blame” in a larger sense may belong to someone else. What do you think GH fans? Vote in the poll below on who you blame for Morgan’s death.
