New General Hospital (GH) spoilers leaked on Instagram by Chad Duell – aka Michael Quartermaine – teases that in coming days, Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) gets closer to Michael and they could be the next Port Charles super-couple. But is this legitimate love or is Nelle up to something?
Michael is in a perfect position to fall for Nelle. He’s still grieving the loss of Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) and now has lost Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig). Michael is also stressed out knowing his adoptive dad Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is likely at fault for Morgan’s death (as of now).
For Nelle, Michael is the perfect target. We’ve seen her glares behind the back of Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and GH fans suspect Nelle is hell-bent on revenge against Carly for her kidney being sold to save the life of Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
The other reason for Nelle to target Michael is because of his former ties to Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin). Remember that Kiki was moaning to Nelle about Morgan just before he died then she walked out and Nelle angrily called her “princess.”
If Nelle could get closer to Carly through Michael and feel like she was getting one over on Kiki at the same time, that would be a double win for her. The photo Chad Duell leaked is from a photo shoot for the 2016 Holiday Gala and it shows Nelle and Michael coupled up (see Instagram pic below).
Nelle will get closer to Carly in coming days as she helps her with the funeral and as she’s grieving the loss of her youngest son. Carly has also gotten closer to Sonny and has proved a source of comfort for him too. This will help Nelle as others grow suspicious of her.
Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) has already given Nelle some attitude about getting closer to the family – even though Carly is literally paying her to be closer so it’s her job. When Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) is back for Morgan’s funeral, he’s also keeping an eye on Nelle.
Jax obviously knows a lot more about the black-market sale of Nelle’s organ than he lets on and he shares some of his issues with Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahn). But none of that will matter once Nelle works her way into Michael’s heart.
We saw the sparks of chemistry when Nelle first came to town and Michael followed her to the bus stop to prevent her from going back to Atlanta. Josslyn is also a fan of Nelle’s and already had an eye on her to get with Michael so it’s not a major surprise.

Michael getting with Nelle is also a good reassurance that Nelle isn’t Carly’s secret sister or a child Carly somehow forgot about. Laura Wright already said in an interview that Nelle is not Carly’s child that Carly somehow forgot she had.
But will Michael’s charm, good lucks, and wealth change Nelle from a schemer to a dreamer? Will Nelle hook up with Michael as part of her revenge pan but then fall for the hunky Quartermaine-Corinthos? Could Michael heal Nelle’s broken self even as Nelle heals Michael from his recent losses?
