General Hospital spoilers tell us that GH is heating up for the summer and Julian Jerome (William deVry) is part of hottest arc on the show. On last week’s episode, Friday, July 8 Julian had his new wife, Attorney Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) at knife point on the docks prepared to slit her throat with the dagger that Helena Cassadine ( Constance Towers) used to murder Alexis’s mother in cold blood.
As viewers watched in horror as Julian tortured her, taunting her, watching her beg for her life she continuously reminded him of his children and grandchildren. Julian told her all bets are off and that he is no longer that person.
Just as Julian moves in for the kill out from the darkness Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) appears , he struggles with Jerome and during the struggle Alexis plunges the dagger in Julian’s back. General Hospital spoilers indicate Julian will survive and be arrested.
Julian clearly went full throttle to the dark side, literally. The question remains will TPTB try to redeem this evil ruthless character as they have tried with his evil snake of a sister Ava Jerome (Maura West)?
The only way out for this character is to be a savior – that is what GH soap honchos do when they want to keep a character.
Let’s look at this scenario: we all watched Julian offer his friend/henchman Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) help to escape the bloodhound Anna Devane ( Finola Huughes) who was onto him for the murder of her love Duke Lavery. Julian knew Carlos was a new father and a man who has been in his life for many years.
Yet Julain stood on the docks and as we watched in utter horror, Julian basically kissing him on the cheek like Judas, then gutting him on the pier leaving him to die. Next thing you know Julian has his wife on the pier getting ready to slit her throat how do you redeem him??
Julian’s golden egg is his grandson Danny Morgan (Corbin and Caden Rothwitherson) of Samantha Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and Jason Morgan (Billy Miller). Danny had Leukemia and there were two people who matched his bone marrow – Franco (Roger Howarth) and Julian.
Franco had a brain tumor thus disqualifying him to be able to help Danny because Dr Clay (Michael Easton) said Franco could have cancer cells, leaving Julian to be the only help for Danny.
Which brings us to Julian’s golden egg, his free ticket out of jail which is little Danny his sick grandson. This would not be the first time Julian used Danny to save his own skin. Sonny had put a hit on Julian when he first arrived in PC but Julian used baby Danny as his human shield – although he claimed that he banked his bone marrow in 2013 he most likely lied, refusing to actually give his bone marrow on deposit in case Danny needed it in the future.
Julian knew Sonny would not kill the only hope to save Danny’s life if push came to shove and there was NO marrow on deposit. Julian lies whenever he thinks those around him need to believe something – case in point, Julian’s repeated lies about not being in the mob anymore….
GH spoilers sources say Danny will need a bone marrow in the near future and guess who can save him? Mommy and Daddy are nowhere to be found and Danny needs emergency surgery – is this all part of the Casasdine curse? Well up steps Grandpa Julian!!! Everyone who loves Danny will humble themselves and beg Julian for his bone marrow to save Danny’s life.
They don’t make Julian pay for his crimes, instead they plead and talk Julian into saving Danny. But of course Julian will take this opportunity to do many things – one of them being to get himself out of jail either by escaping or bribing TPTB to drop charges.
Two things are for sure – Julian will be out of jail and on the loose again and Alexis will have to look over her shoulder every minute… but no worries Alexis. your ex Sonny will be there to save you again!
