Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid’s father, Mohamed Hadid, was left humiliated after he was blocked from attending a Victoria’s Secret after-party. Reports indicate that the real-estate developer was left red-faced after show organizers failed to recognize him.
The Victoria’s Secret runway show was a huge night for the Hadid sisters. It was the first time both Gigi and Bella participated in the show. Both their parents Yolanda Hadid and Mohamed Hadid flew into Paris to cheer on their daughters. Yet, Mohamed was left out in the cold when he was refused entry into the Victoria’s Secret party after the runway show.
Sources say that Mohamed and his fiancé Shiva Safari were blocked from entering the party. Even though security was tight, the bouncers and publicists simply didn’t know who he was. Photographers spotted him looking frustrated and agitated over the entire situation. After waiting out in the cold, one event handler finally recognized Mohamed and apologized for the embarrassing situation. He was then let into the party to celebrate with his model daughters. Reports indicate that his ex-wife Yolanda had no problem getting in, as she was already inside partying with Gigi and Bella.
So far Mohamed Hadid himself has not made any comments over the issue, but it is clearly an embarrassing incident for the entire family. Many sources have said that Yolanda, along with her daughters Gigi and Bella, are desperate to become the biggest names in the entertainment industry. They want to be recognized as A-list celebrities everywhere they go. This would never happen to someone like Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian or even their mother, Kris Jenner.
Insiders close to the Hadids say that Yolanda has been doing whatever it takes to make their daughters the biggest names in the fashion world. The last thing they want is for their own father to be left behind at a Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Sure, he might not have as much celebrity exposure as Gigi and Bella or even Yolanda, but he is the father of two of the biggest stars of the night.
