Queen Elizabeth and Kate Middleton enjoy an enormous staff to care for the Royal family at Buckingham Palace, Balmoral, Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall – yet the household staff are paid at or below the poverty line. What Queen Elizabeth does not enjoy is paying a living wage for the employees of the Monarchy.
The latest job opening in the Royal household is for a dishwasher who is willing to travel back and forth from Buckingham Palace to Balmoral and Windsor Castle.
The GLOBE reports that there is a help wanted ad for a kitchen porter position – someone to assist in keeping things clean and tidy and making sure the kitchen staff and chefs “have everything they need to deliver hundreds of staff meals every day.”
The employee who is deemed worthy of taking on this position will earn a measly $22,000 per year. There is an “outrageous vetting process” if you want to help with food preparation, clean equipment and utensils daily Royal kitchens.
Another job for the kitchen assistant could be ensuring that Queen Elizabeth’s corgis are properly fed. The Royal spy divulged that the corgis eat better than most humans. Queen Elizabeth’s precious babies are served gourmet meals on fine china! Do we need to mention Kate Middleton’s outrageous skiing vacations or her helicopter rides when she travels between Anmer Hall and Kensignton Palace?
Who can forget back in 2015 when Royal staff members were asked to take pay cuts which put them at or near poverty level? Kate Middleton was reportedly asked to cut back on the Cambridge’s staff at both Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall.
This latest Royal employment opportunity sounds as if several positions were combined into one. Whoever takes on this kitchen porter position must adore the Royal family if willing to take on such a demanding job for only $22,000 per year.
