Kate Middleton has been left humiliated once again by her husband Prince William. This time around Prince William has admitted that he wants to see his two children Prince George and Princess Charlotte grow up with more ‘simple aspirations’ in life, with some critics wondering if he’s taking a public dig at Kate Middleton.
It’s been long reported that Kate Middleton is one of the most materialistic members of the royal family. She expects to be treated like royalty everywhere she goes and loves nothing more than to be wined and dined with the elite. In fact, Kate’s been often accused of spending money on $5,000 helicopter rides and luxurious vacations in some of the most exotic locations in the world.
She’s spent thousands on renovating her home at Anmer Hall, also has a wardrobe full of high-end labels and expects to look like a million dollars each and every time she steps out in public. Yet, William seems to be criticizing her lifestyle by publicly admitting that he doesn’t want his children Prince George and Princess Charlotte to grow up to be like their materialistic mother.
In a new interview with a Vietnamese talk show this week, Prince William admitted that he’s worried about people living with an ‘enormous amount of stuff that people don’t need’ so much so that he doesn’t want Prince George and Princess Charlotte to live the same way.
When asked about his advice on how young people can make a difference in this world, William responded with, “I would like [my kids] to grow up with more simple aspirations. I think there’s a lot of huge aspirations and people living with an enormous amount of stuff that they don’t necessarily need. The materialism of the world — I find quite tricky sometimes.”
Of course, fans can’t help but wonder if Prince William’s comments are his way of saying that he’s had enough of his wife’s materialistic ways. It wouldn’t be surprising if Kate Middleton felt directly offended by her husband’s answer. After all, Kate is known more for her lavish lifestyle and her designer clothes than anything else.
