Kim Kardashian stepped in to help Caitlyn Jenner after a recent backlash. Caitlyn claims Kim helped the transgender celeb understand why her comment about the “hardest thing about being a woman” was so upsetting to women.
Jenner is obviously trying to win back some fans after explaining just how much she doesn’t know about being a woman.
In a brand new interview with The Advocate, Caitlyn confessed that she turned to Kim when the backlash from a comment about being a woman started to heat up. When Cait was riding high on several accolades related to her coming out as transgender as well as an unprecedented amount of support after the infamous Diane Sawyer interview, Jenner made a near-unforgivable mistake.
Caitlyn Jenner found out the hard way that women were listening and didn’t appreciate the newly transitioned woman remarking that the hardest thing so far was “figuring out what to wear.” Several feminist groups, actresses and critics of Jenner spoke out about offensive that was to the plight of women, who historically have been treated less fairly by their male counterparts.
The uproar was a PR nightmare for Caitlin who stayed quiet for nearly two months about the lighthearted comment that ignited a whirlwind of disapproval among feminist fans.
Now Jenner has revealed that it was Kim Kardashian who not only helped her stepmother recover from the media blunder but also to understand why people were so offended. While Kim still suggested Caitlyn never let the paparazzi catch her slipping and always dress up when out in public, it seems she’s supposedly been helping on a deeper level too.
It’s pretty obvious that in addition to Kim Kardashian’s advice, Caitlyn Jenner has been paying a lot of attention to her handlers and is trying very hard to protect her image going forward. Rather than crack jokes about what to wear, Jenner finally admitted that she did miss out on several aspects of being a woman that she will never really understand.
That’s probably all people wanted to hear in response to the plight of being a woman in a man’s world rather than some jokes about how hard it is to stay in fashion.
