Next, she visits a suitor’s high school and learns he’s not as confident as he seems. Gossip surrounds one guy; and one bachelor takes her to an old-fashioned barbecue. At the rose ceremony, JoJo is blindsided by a surprise confession from one of the men.”

On tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette – Jojo Fletcher has narrowed her search for love down to the final four guys. Tonight, she’ll be heading to each of the guys’ hometowns to meet their families.
Jojo kicks off her hometown dates with Jojo heading to Chase McNary’s hometown, she meets up with him on a snowy cliff and they sit down to take in the scenery. Chase says that he wants to talk to Jojo before she meets his family. He explains that his parents are divorced, so she is going to meet his mom and dad separately. Chase confesses that the divorce was really messy, and he doesn’t want Jojo to feel awkward around his parents.
Chase takes Jojo to his house next, he gives her a tour and she’s impressed by how nice his house is. Chase’s dad shows up and rings the doorbell, Chase is thrilled to see him, it’s the first time they have seen each other in a very long time. Chase introduces his dad to Jojo and it seems to go well. Chase and his dad have a long talk about Jojo, Chase insists that his feelings for her are real. Chase’s dad is worried – he’s scared that Jojo won’t pick Chase and could break his heart. Chase doesn’t want to hear it though, he wants to marry Jojo.
Now it’s time for Jojo to meet the rest of Chase’s family – his mom, his step-dad, and his sister and her family. Chase’s mom Sandy talks to Jojo in private, they talk about how hard his parents’ divorce was on him. Sandy just wants her son to be happy and have a fun life.
Sandy has a heart to heart with Chase – she wants to make sure that he is actually ready to propose if he does win. Chase doesn’t have any reservations, he reassures his mom that he is ready to settle down and pop the question. Sandy and Chase get emotional and shed a few tears, over all Sandy gives him and Jojo her blessing. After dinner, Chase walks Jojo to her car and kisses her goodbye – he tells her that he is falling in love with her, and Jojo is touched because he doesn’t usually say anything like that.
Next, Bachelorette Jojo heads to Chico, California to meet up with Jordan Rodgers. She rushes to greet him, and they meet in a very scenic public park. Jojo takes Jordan to his high-school, and he gives her a tour, he even has a sign put up welcoming her to town. Jordan introduces Jojo to his JV football coach and some of his old teachers.
Jojo finds a picture of Jordan’s brother Aaron hanging on the wall at the high-school and things get awkward. Jordan and Aaron are not on good terms and have not spoke to each other in almost 2 years. Jojo tries to ask Jordan what happened between him and his brother, but Jordan doesn’t want to talk about it. Talk turns to meeting Jordan’s parents, Jojo is a little nervous, the only other girl that has ever met his parents was his ex, and that was two years ago. Jojo and Jordan head to his parents’ house, he introduces her to his parents Ed and Darla and his other brother Luke and his girlfriend. Of course, Aaron is not there. They eat dinner and Jordan’s parents tell Jojo all about what Jordan was like as a child – he even tried to run away from home.

For her final stop, Jojo heads to her home state of Texas to meet up with Luke Pell. He meets her in town and give her a tour, they have a seat in the park and Luke tells Jojo that he has a surprise set up for her. Luke tells Jojo he is taking her to a cook-out at his parents’ house, but when they pull up there is over 50 people there.
Jojo is a bit overwhelmed by all of the people, but after some awkward introductions, she gets comfortable and gets to know all of Luke’s friends and family. Meanwhile, Luke sits down with his dad Bill and tells him that he is in love with Jojo and he plans on telling her that. Luke’s dad just want him to know that he has his parents’ blessing, and no matter what happens they love him and support him.
After the cookout, Luke and Jojo go for a horseback ride, he surprises her with candles and they share a romantic dance. He confesses his feelings to Jojo and they have a close moment. Afterwards, Luke walks her to her car and they say their goodbyes.
It’s time for the rose ceremony back in Los Angeles, there are four guys remaining and Jojo only has three roses to give out. She confesses to Chris Harrison that she feels sick to her stomach about sending someone home. Before the rose ceremony, Luke asks to talk to Jojo in private, they head outside and Luke tells Jojo that he wanted to tell her that he is in love with her, he didn’t get a chance to say that on the hometown date and he wanted to make sure she knew how he really felt.
The guys are all waiting inside for Jojo to pass out the roses, after Luke heads back inside, Jojo has a meltdown and sobs in the parking lot because she doesn’t know who to send home.
