The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, January 2, tease that Christine (Laralee Bell) will prep Dylan (Steve Burton) for his risky assignment. He’ll be given info on his new identity of “Derek Young.” A contact named Kevin will help Dylan along the way. Christine will urge a fired up Dylan to be careful on this mission.
At home, Sharon (Sharon Case) will find out the details of the gala fiasco. She’ll scold Mariah (Camryn Grimes) for acting so impulsively. Mariah will wonder if Devon (Bryton James) can forgive her for messing up his event. She just couldn’t stand watching Hilary (Mishael Morgan) get off scot-free.
Dylan will come home and tell Sharon that he’s leaving for his assignment. She’ll beg Dylan not to go, but he’ll insist that this is something he has to do. They’ll share a tearful farewell and Dylan will head off into danger.
Meanwhile, Hilary will wake up alone in her penthouse. When Neil (Kristoff St. John) stops by to see Devon, Hilary will try to get rid of him. Neil will persist and Hilary will be forced to admit that Devon didn’t show up last night. She’ll hold Mariah responsible for her relationship problems, but Neil will call her out for her own behavior.
Later, Y&R spoilers say Hilary will receive shocking news. Someone will phone Hilary to inform her that Devon has been in a terrible car crash. She’ll give Neil updates and they’ll head to the hospital. Stitch (Sean Carrigan) will frantically shout instructions to his team. Devon will have internal bleeding, so they’ll get him to surgery ASAP.
When Hilary and Neil arrive, they’ll get the scoop on Devon’s condition. Neil will gripe that Devon shouldn’t have been in that car. He’ll hint that Hilary is to blame, but he’ll soften when she bursts into tears. Neil will hold Hilary close as they face this crisis.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) will ask Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to let him stay in Genoa City. His dad is moving to Warsaw for work and Reed just isn’t interested. Billy (Jason Thompson) will drop by and encourage Victoria to hear her son out.
Victoria and Billy will also discuss the warm moments they shared on New Year’s Eve. Billy will suggest that their chemistry is undeniable, but Victoria will think they should put the past behind them. However, Victoria will come around on the idea of allowing Reed to stay. She’ll promise to call JT (Thad Luckinbill) and work this out.
Reed will be thrilled, but this is going to be a major adjustment. Will Billy help Victoria handle the upcoming drama? We’ll keep you posted as more Young and the Restless info comes in.
