“The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that Abby (Melissa Ordway) will try to process her recent pregnancy news. Stitch (Sean Carrigan) did another test and cleared up the confusion. Abby was stunned to learn she was expecting a baby instead of Ashley (Eileen Davidson). It’s a big curveball for this young newlywed and bewildered stepmom.
Once the initial shock wears off, Abby will have to come to grips with what all of this means. You can bet that Max (Jared Breeze) isn’t going to be happy when he gets updates on the new addition to the family. Max can’t even get adjust to having Abby in his life. A little brother or sister is going to be a lot for Max to handle.
Stitch, Abby and Max have all faced a string of rapid changes lately. Unfortunately, more turmoil could be coming. Stitch will assure Abby that they can make this work, but Abby won’t be as certain. Y&R spoilers say Abby will fear that her marriage may not be meant to last.
Stitch and Abby’s relationship has already lasted longer than most viewers expected it to. They’re a somewhat bland pairing and it’s doubtful that they’re destined to become a beloved supercouple. That leads us to wonder if Abby and Stitch’s baby will really make it into this world.
It’s tough to believe that “The Young and the Restless” plans on leaving Stitch and Abby together indefinitely. Could a miscarriage ultimately be what tears them apart? We’ve seen the same thing happen with other couples on the CBS soap. It’s difficult for relationships to endure the terrible loss of a child.
Of course, the show will probably let the drama play out for a while. Abby just found out she was pregnant and the writers will want to explore this new development. However, this could be setting up the incident that will eventually bring on a divorce.
Let’s say that Abby and Stitch finally manage to get through to Max. If the whole fam gears up for a baby, it would be crushing to learn Abby lost it. Max could begin to act out again.
On the other hand, maybe Max will never come around and the stress will continue to build. As the pressure mounts, Abby could end up miscarrying. Stitch and Abby might go in different directions in the midst of the heartbreak.
Bottom line, there are plenty of things that could go wrong with this pregnancy. Miscarriages are practically as common as births on soaps. Drama is the top priority. Stick with “The Young and the Restless” to see if Abby will actually carry this baby to term.
