The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon’s (Sharon Case) downward spiral could end in disaster. Over the past few weeks, we’ve watched Sharon go from bad to worse. She’s been having horrifying nightmares of Sage (Kelly Sullivan) every time she closes her eyes. Sharon even dreamed Sage was taking her baby back to Nick (Joshua Morrow).
Now it seems Sharon may be going off her meds and that always leads to bad news. In addition to Sharon’s nightmares, she’s now being haunted by Sage when she’s awake. Once Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) piped up about the bonds between fathers and sons, Sharon’s nerves got the best of her. She imagined Chelsea’s face had morphed into Sage’s.
The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Sharon will continue to struggle with her guilt. That means more awful dreams and frightening hallucinations. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has called a doctor, but she hasn’t given Sharon updates yet. Perhaps Mariah just wants to reach out to a therapist to get an opinion on what to do.
If Mariah was capable of helping Sharon get through this, she would certainly step up. However, it looks like Sharon is going to need more than a shoulder to cry on. She needs serious help from a professional. Mariah might suggest that everything will remain confidential if Sharon opens up in a therapy session.
Of course, Y&R viewers know that there’s always a risk when it comes to therapists on this show. Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) was obviously a nut job with a vendetta. Who knows what the next one might be like? Besides, Sharon is putting her secret in jeopardy every time she talks about it. Walls can be thin. Doors can accidentally be left ajar.
Anyone could come strolling by and overhear the shocking details. Would that be true in the real world? Probably not, but it’s absolutely a possibility on The Young and the Restless. Eavesdropping is the norm on the CBS soap.
Regardless of how things work out with this presumed therapist, someone is bound to learn the truth soon. Mariah knows what’s up, but they have to raise the stakes. Once more people are in the loop, Sharon’s world could come crashing down.
Sharon may fear that the jig is up eventually. If someone discovers the secret and rushes to tell Nick or Dylan (Steve Burton), Sharon might feel like she needs to make a bold move. If Sharon isn’t taking her meds, she could be especially prone to make poor choices.
Could Sharon try to leave town with Sully? She wants to preserve her marriage, but her love for the baby might win out. Maybe Sharon could grab the baby and disappear. Dylan and Nick could be blindsided by the fact that Sharon kept them in the dark. Plus, they’d stunned by the sudden vanishing act. It would be a double betrayal.
Sharon could later resurface and pay the price for her mistakes. Dylan may choose to leave Sharon over this. Nick probably would’ve been willing to share custody if Sharon had just been honest from the beginning. It wasn’t Sharon’s fault Dr. Anderson made her part of an evil plot.
Since Sage is gone, this baby needs a mother. Sharon loves and cares for him like he was her own child. Unfortunately, Sharon’s silence could lead Nick to fight for sole custody. He may be resentful of the time he’s lost with Christian.
