Ariel Winter comes off as desperate on social media. It’s sad to see the 19-year-old actress spiral out of control. She is looking more and more like Kylie Jenner every day. Fans did a double take when Ariel Winter showed up to Coachella last month in a neon wig and cropped top. That’s usually something that Kylie Jenner wears to the music festival. The ironic thing is that Ariel Winter says that she’s a role model, and advises her young fans to be themselves.
How can Ariel Winter be herself when she’s constantly copying Kylie Jenner’s style? She also has a mature view on what a role model should think and act. She previously revealed that her Modern Family co-star Sofia Vergera is a source of inspiration in her life. The actress has taught Ariel Winter to learn how to embrace her curves. But, it looks like she’s desperately trying to separate herself from her role as nerdy Alex Dunphy on the sitcom.
Many of Ariel Winter’s fans call her a role model. While she doesn’t mind being one, she says they are wrong. When promoting her new film Dog Years at the Tribeca Film Festival, she explained why she is not the typical role model. Ariel Winter exclaimed that she would rather teach her fans to be more like themselves than to be like her.
“It’s a very loose term, because people misinterpret it these days. People push people to be perfect and say the right thing and wear the right thing and do the right thing at all times,” Winter told Bustle. “But I think the most important thing of being a role model is being imperfect and being yourself, and teaching people that being yourself is perfect and you don’t have to be this cookie-cutter idea of perfect.”
That’s rich coming from this impressionable star. She’s looking more like Kylie Jenner every day. It’s obvious that she’s inspired by the Instagram model. Ariel Winter has been modeling her look and wardrobe after the reality star. She even wore her most inappropriate outfit to date. Ariel Winter has no concept when it comes to fashion. She’s still young. However, she should know to leave those curve-hugging dresses at the nightclub.
She slammed critics who judged her for wearing a gold Falguni and Shane Peacock mini-dress, reports Page Six. It featured a mini-skirt, cutouts, and beading. It’s also ugly as sin. But, Ariel Winter was proud to wear the creation at the final Modern Family screening on Wednesday night.
“Why TF does anyone care that I didn’t dress casual like everyone else for the panel?” Winter wrote on Instagram. “Why do I have to be like everyone else? Why can’t people just let other people feel good about themselves and do what they want? WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANT PEOPLE! As long as you feel good about yourself that’s what matters. I know I did. Don’t ever let anyone stifle who you are and how your express yourself. Rant over.”
It’s hard to take this child seriously when she’s constantly modeling herself after another insecure teenager.
