Days of Our Lives Producers Sued: Set Designer Karla Bergstrom Claims She Was Crushed, Sues Sony

A Days of Our Lives set designer is suing Sony, the show’s producers, after 400 pounds of lights came crashing down on her in 2015. According to a new lawsuit, Karla Bergstrom says that she suffered from severe brain injuries when hundreds of pounds of lighting gear came down on her.

TMZ reports that Bergstrom is suing Sony, who are the owners and producers of the hit daytime NBC soap. Court documents reveal that Bergstrom wasn’t given a heads up when a 400-pound bar of stage lights came tumbling down on her during her shift on the set.

Karla says in her lawsuit that Sony hired negligent set builders and that they didn’t properly install the lighting gear. She says that the entire lightening grid came down on top of her. As a result, she suffered from some serious head injuries.

No additional details have been released about the accident or how much Karla Bergstorm is suing for that matter. She is though suing both companies for damages and the cost of her medical expenses. So far the show’s producers have not made any comments about the lawsuit. The lighting company, Goodnight and Co., has not said anything, either.
