General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we haven’t seen the last of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) but her next appearance on GH might not be what you expect. The Nurses Ball kicks off on Monday, May 22 and runs through Wednesday, May 24 and since General Hospital spoilers reveal danger will be present at the ball, some GH fans might assume wicked Helena will be back to torment the town.
But, alas, General Hospital spoilers reveal she’s not coming to Port Charles in the flesh. Instead, the danger is Jake Webber (Hudson West) and that Chimera canister that Helena programmed him to deploy. Jake will try and fight his programming because he really doesn’t want to do this dastardly deed. However, he’s under orders and when Costa (Eddie Davenport) delivered the magic set, he used the magic words “little man.”
That’s the code word that triggered Jake and reminded him what he had to do no matter how much he’s fighting it. That all goes down early on this week’s new episodes and there will be danger from the Chimera, but it’s not Helena that’s in town wreaking havoc – she’s doing it from beyond the grave. Helena knew all this would happen from the moment she willed that creepy book to Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst).
Despite the action at the Nurses Ball, that is not when Helena returns. In fact, it will be the end of this week, after May 24, when Helena makes another appearance. And it’s important to know, she’s not back from the dead. Helena is dead and gone for real this time, so this is another flashback, much like the ones we saw while Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) was on Cassadine Island and recovered some memories.
Last time, Franco (Roger Howarth) helped trigger Jason’s memories by beating him and chaining him to a rock wall. It’s not likely that Jason will fall for that maneuver again but nonetheless, General Hospital spoilers tell us he’ll recover some more memories about his time on Cassadine Island when he was under the control of Helena. According to the newly adjusted timeline, Jason was under her control for a year or so.
What we know from the one flashback we saw is that Helena used Jason as her pet killer and beat him if things didn’t go exactly according to her plan. We also know from that flashback that Helena “bought” Jason from Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). It seems that Faison, wearing his Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) mask, shot Jason, kicked him into Port Charles harbor and then fished him back out and kept him.
There is still a missing piece in Jason’s timeline because of the way the GH writers have tinkered with his history. Something happened between the time Jason was her pet assassin that resulted in him winding up near death and frozen at Crichton Clark clinic. Perhaps this is what we’ll learn this week when Helena Cassadine returns to torment Jason some more.
Jason will learn more about his past that gives him insight into what’s going on with Jake. We’ll see this happen late in the week but there’s no word if this is the final flashback appearance from Constance Towers.
