General Hospital Spoilers: Jake Fights Programming – Runs Off With Chimera At Ball – Jason and Franco Race to Stop Him

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jake Webber (Hudson West) does not want to unleash the Chimera Project at the Nurse’s Ball, but he’s been deeply programmed to follow orders. Can Jake fight the compulsion? Perhaps. On Tuesday’s GH, Jake told the Chimera tube that he wished it would go away. This shows he’s already resisting Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) programming.

Jake’s dad, Jason Morgan (Billy Miller), was also able to fight the programming despite Helena using a microchip, mental and physical conditioning on him, but is a child’s mind stronger? Helena had Jake under her control far longer than she had Jason in her grasp, so her programming might be woven more deeply into Jake’s psyche. General Hospital spoilers say the poor kid doesn’t want to follow orders, but may not be able to stop.

It seems that Jake had an activation code and it was the phrase “little man.” That’s how Helena referred to Jake when she saw him peeking from behind the tree on Cassadine Island when her henchman was beating on his father. And when that same henchman, Costa, dropped off the magic set to Liz Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) house, he greeted Jake with the phrase “little man” to activate his Chimera Project conditioning.

Since then, Jake has been hard at work rehearsing his magic act and even set his mom Liz and her boyfriend Franco (Roger Howarth) up to sign him up for the General Hospital Nurse’s Ball so he could unleash the Chimera with the glitterati of Port Charles on hand to fall victim to Helena’s final revenge. Don’t expect Helena to be at the ball, though, but she will have her vengeance if all goes well.

Too bad it all won’t go well. Helena has won smaller victories, but the Cassadines don’t ever win the war. Jason escaped Helena’s clutches, Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) stopped Mikkos and his weather machine, and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) killed Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker Kelly). Similarly, Jake will be able to fight off the programming and stop himself from wreaking havoc.

On the night of the Nurse’s Ball, while Helena watches from her perch in hell, Jake will interrupt his act at the pinnacle moment as he reveals the Chimera tube and many go into a panic. But rather than unleashing the toxin, General Hospital spoilers indicate Jake will run off with it, so only his life will be at risk. But many on hand will recognize the container and will be sent into a panic.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) knows what it is since he sold it to Helena. Alex and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) also know what’s in there. Jason and Franco might not know it’s a toxin, but they know anything with a Chimera on it is bad news and they go after Jake to try and save him. Jake is fighting years of conditioning so he might not be able to stop himself from opening the container.

But what Jake might be able to do is get away from the big crowd and run down to the docks so fewer lives will be at risk. Now Franco and Jason must save the kid from himself – and from Helena’s final revenge. Will Jason and Franco reach Jake in time?
