General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Jake Webber’s (Hudson West) story is about to kick into high gear on GH and that means Jason Morgan (Billy Miller), Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco), Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth) will all be part of the plot together – as uncomfortable as that will be.
Some recent behind the scenes photos (see below) from a fan tour on the set of General Hospital show some new sets built that look a lot like Cassadine Island. They have a distinctly Mediterranean feel and look like something you might find in Greece. There are lots of secrets there.
Back before Tyler Christopher was abruptly forced out of General Hospital because of contract issues, spoilers showed that JaSam and Friz were all supposed to be on the island together. There were scenes planned with the two couples arriving separately but getting caught up in the same Cassadine mess.
With Nikolas Cassadine presumed dead, this could all now tie into the two couples uncovering not only Jake’s past with Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) on the island, but also the real fate of Nikolas and what he might have known about Jake and Jason both when they were held hostage.
It seems highly unlikely that Jason and Jake were held hostage for years by Helena on his family’s compound and Nikolas never knew. Also, notice that the rooms shown on the set tour have both a religious vibe but also a bed. Is this where Nikolas has been recuperating?
General Hospital spoilers ask will Jason, Sam, Liz and Franco have to find Nikolas alive and recovering from his incident with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart)? That means a Nikolas recast which many GH fans want and expect. The Cassadine prince is needed as part of this plot to explain what he knew and we’re not too far from May sweeps.
We already know from spoilers from GH showrunner Frank Valentini that Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) is slated to come back to the ABC soap in May and General Hospital spoilers predict he could tie into all of this Cassadine intrigue. What also may differ this time is that the two couples set out for Greece together.
The last time Sam and Liz headed to Greece together, they were cat fighting on the airplane and throwing drinks at one another because they were still fighting over Jason. Then, when Sam and Jason were in Greece after that, they almost died then found out Sam was pregnant.
Cassadine Island has not brought luck to any of these people and it’s also where Sam was cursed. She still hasn’t figured out the meaning of the single penny that Helena left her but that, along with the wicked coloring book Helena left to Liz, will all come out when the foursome heads to Greece.
What is not clear is whether Jake will go along for the ride or hang back in Port Charles but there are more questions to be answered. Greek island girl Daphne also has some more explaining to do and could show back up in this new Cassadine plot.
Franco, Liz, Sam and Jason need to find out what happened to Jake but, along the way, the unlikely gang of four will also find out what happened to Jason and Nikolas so that everyone can put Cassadine Island behind them for good.
