General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) should be back on the ABC set and filming when the show resumes production next week, but what’s next for Maxie? Her upcoming plot involves nifty nurse Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) who has moved in on Maxie’s man Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) while she’s been gone.
We just discovered that Amy has been using Nathan’s fabulous face as the avatar for her “Man Landers” advice column. For those too young to get the reference, Ann Landers was a famous advice columnist along with her sister Abby of “Dear Abby” fame back in the day. Nathan isn’t happy to find out his face is offering advice for the lovelorn, but Amy tries to talk him into it.
We also know that Amy and Maxie had a rough past because Maxie bullied and body shamed Amy in high school. Back then, Maxie was head cheerleader and a golden girl and we know from GH history that Maxie was a troublemaker who didn’t let anyone stand in her way. Dillon Quartermaine (Robert Palmer Watkins) and Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) were also in Maxie’s clique.
Chubby Amy was not in with the cool kids. These days, Amy is happy with her body – and so is her portrayer Risa Dorken who has been hitting back at haters online over her weight. But Maxie brings out the worst in Amy because of how she bullied her. With Maxie gone across the country, Nathan and Amy have become friends and GH spoilers hint Nathan will play along with Amy’s advice column.
Nathan has nothing else to do with his time and no wife around, so hanging around with Amy and writing up advice to Port Charles peeps struggling with relationships is pretty amusing. General Hospital spoilers say the problem is Maxie is back soon and will be angry to see Nathan is keeping time with the beautiful blonde. Maxie expected Nathan to put his life on hold and sit on his hands and wait for her.
Instead, he’s having fun hanging out with Amy. It’s Dillon that Amy has a crush on so, for now, Amy is no threat to Maxie’s marriage, but all that could change if Maxie reverts back to her mean girl high school ways. Nathan didn’t want to believe that Maxie was bullying Amy but he’ll see it up close and personal when Maxie lashes out at Amy and gets mean with her once again.
Nathan will stand up for his gal pal and that will further infuriate Maxie. Could this confrontation combined with Maxie’s prolonged absence kill the Naxie reunion? Nathan is a nice guy even though he’s a total hunk, and won’t put up with Maxie bullying anyone, particularly Amy. When Nathan sees Maxie hitting below the belt, he’ll instantly realize Amy wasn’t exaggerating.
Nathan won’t like the fact that his wife is a bully and won’t stand for it. If Maxie won’t back down when Nathan stands up for Amy, things could cool off fast for the newlyweds.
