General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that some huge twists are in store once Steve Burton’s character arrives. The show is staying tight-lipped about the details, but we know this storyline will be stretched out over many months. GH will take nearly a year to fully develop all the layers in this exciting plot.
With that in mind, Burton may not immediately hop into Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) orbit. They’ll surely run into him and wonder why he has Jason’s old face, but there’s no need to rush this. Perhaps Burton’s character will be involved in something else before Jason and Sam get to work on the mystery.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Alla Korot is joining the GH cast. After Soap Opera Digest broke the news, everyone was left wondering who Korot might play. If she’s connected to Steve Burton, there could be an interesting story behind their relationship. Could Oscar (Garren Stitt) be at the center of it?
Oscar has said that his mom isn’t in touch with his dad. She doesn’t want anything to do with him and that may be because he’s one dangerous dude. Oscar’s mother probably hoped they could just fade into the background in Port Charles.
We also know that Sonny (Maurice Benard) is trying to get out of the mob. That’s not an easy task, so there will inevitably be some bumps in the road. Sonny put Max (Derk Cheetwood) in charge, but that plan may not pan out. Diane (Carolyn Henessy) is concerned about the threat to Max’s life.
Drew Cheetwood will be reprising his role as Max’s half-brother, Milo. Maybe Max will need some family around after a violent encounter. He could be seriously injured or even killed. Could Burton’s character emerge as the new leader of Sonny’s turf? Sonny wants someone that he trusts at the top, but General Hospital could come up with a way to establish that trust quickly.
Perhaps Burton’s character could come highly recommended. Let’s bring Oscar’s mom back into all this. What if this guy turns out to be Oscar’s dad? This could spark some chaos. Oscar’s mother could threaten to move her son away, which would naturally upset Josslyn (Eden McCoy).
Of course, Oscar would also have a growing curiosity about his father. He’d want to confront him about bailing on their family. Sonny would be caught in the middle of it all, which would give Benard a chance to interact with Burton. Carly (Laura Wright) would have to tackle more teen drama as well.
After everything died down, we could get into the nitty-gritty of who Burton’s character is and how he’s connected to Jason (Billy Miller). The long-lost twin theory is still the top pick.
