Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton each left their respective marriages and then began dating each other soon after that. The two, as co-hosts of The Voice, seemed to hit it off almost immediately and develop an incredibly strong bond in the short time they’d been together. And despite the fact that neither has confirmed it publicly, rumors of the two tying the knot have begun to abound in the recent months.
Now, according to a new report from Life & Style Magazine, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were planning to get married, but have decided to put their wedding on hold to have a baby. Life & Style’s source explains that a baby is Gwen’s main focus right now, adding, “She’s determined to have another baby and carry it herself, even though Blake has said it doesn’t matter if they adopt or get a surrogate.”
Given that both Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been incredibly public about almost every aspect of their relationship thus far, do you think they would be hiding such monumental news – concerning both an impending wedding or planned pregnancy – from us? Well, to be fair, they might not want to announce a pregnancy until it happens, for fear of jinxing it.
However, if these two are planning a wedding, more concrete details would have leaked by now, no? Neither one of them is exactly ‘low-key’, and unless they rein in all their natural instincts, their wedding is going to draw attention from all spectrums of Hollywood.
There’s also the fact that both of their previous marriages were incredibly fraught with ugly drama and gossip, and they’re likely thinking twice before jumping into another marriage; especially since they also work together. Let’s say they do get married – and then have children together – what will happen if they break up?
They’ll not only have to co-parent, but they’ll also have to work together without letting any of the drama affect their professional careers. Or maybe it will just help more people tune in to The Voice, who knows sometimes?
