Is Nina Dobrev feuding with her ex Ian Somerhalder on the set of ‘The Vampire Diaries?’ That’s what fans can’t help but wonder as the ex lovers have been keeping their distance from one another on the set of the show. ‘The Vampire Diaries’ creator Kevin Williamson recently shared a new photo of both Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley on his Instagram page. Yet fans wonder why Ian Somerhalder is not in the photo.
Of course, fans aren’t surprised that Nina and Ian are keeping their distance on the set of the show. After all, Ian is now married to Nina’s ex-friend Nikki Reed. Fans have long hoped for a Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder reunion, but that’s not going to happen. After all, Ian might still be harboring some feelings from their relationship. Before their break up, Ian wanted to get married but Nina simply wasn’t ready to tie the knot yet.
Then again, Ian Somerhalder made it sound like he wasn’t looking forward to seeing Nina back on ‘The Vampire Diaries’ just a few months ago. Instead on focusing on the return of fan favorite Elena Gilbert, he simply wanted a ‘happy ending for the show.’
In a new interview with Variety, he said, “I don’t know. I want the audience to be happy, but I also am very pro human. I don’t think these guys should have the ability to wreak havoc, kill everybody, ruin the lives of so many and then get out with a happy ending. I think the happy ending is that we got to go on this amazing ride with these two guys. They’ve lived long enough.”
So does this mean that Ian was campaigning to keep Nina off the show? Is he upset that he no has to face his ex-girlfriend for the remainder of the season? Some fans can’t help but wonder if that might be the case.
