Tonight’s episode of Blacklist Redemption kicks off with a plane soaring through the sky – the pilot and passengers are all unconscious. The plane comes barreling out of the sky and crashes in a fiery explosion in a park in Russia.

Scottie is enjoying herself at a hotel with a male escort when Cat interrupts – she says that General Phillips needs to see Scottie urgently. Scottie promises the half naked man she will be back in an hour and rushes to the General’s office.

Phillips tells her that Operation North Star has the green light, and the package has been delivered. Scottie has no idea what he’s talking about – apparently it’s something that he worked out with Howard before he died. After Scottie is filled in by Phillips, she heads back to the office to brief her team.

Scottie explains that the plane was full of John Doe’s from a morgue, and they intentionally crashed the plane in Russia so that they could get inside. As predicted, Russia is allowing a team in their borders to investigate the crash and make sure it wasn’t terrorist related. Scottie has arrange for Tom Keen and Solomon to be on the team – while they are inside Russia, they have to get eyes on a nearby location where Russia is supposedly building warfare to use on the US.

After the meeting, Scottie corners Cat. She tells her that she heard nothing about this arrangement Howard had with the Pentagon, and she wants Cat to do a full audit of the company and make sure Howard didn’t do anything else crazy while he was off his meds, before he died.

Tom and Solomon arrive at the crash site in Russia – they create a distraction and Tom slips away and cuts through the woods to snap some photos of the weapons facility. When he arrives, he slips through the fence to take pictures, and it becomes clear it’s not a weapon facility. It’s some sort of bizarre town closed off from the world, with their own stores, mail men, and a sign that says “Welcome To Independence.”

Back in the US, Scottie and her team go through Tom’s photos. There were rumors during the Cold War that Russia was building replica American towns to teach their soldiers and spies how to live like Americans, although it was several years ago, it looks like that might be what Tom stumbled upon.

Scottie meets with her contact Vadim, she questions him about the secret village in Russia. Vadim warns her that she doesn’t want to get involved, it’s some sort of training program for up and coming agents, and men have been assigned there – and never returned. Scottie decides to use Vadim to get Tom and Nez in to the secret village as agents in training. Before Tom

Before Tom leave to go back to Russia, he slips away to meet with his not-so-dead father Howard. He warns Howard that Scottie knows he was hiding things and is doing a complete audit of the company. And, she found one of his secret accounts. Tom worries that Scottie is right, and Howard has gone off his meds, and is full-blown crazy. He’s having doubts about working with him. Howard rambles that all the answers he is looking for are in the secret village in Russia, Tom has to go there, and then “it will all be clear.”

Tom and Nez arrive in Moscow, and they are picked up by some not too friendly men in a white van. They go through an exhausting search process, and are stripped down. Then, a woman named Grushenka meets with them and passes out folders on their new identities in Independence. Tom is taking on the role of a married man named Stan – he heads home to his “new house” and his wife Cynthia is waiting for him and cooking dinner. Meanwhile, Nex is an unemployed bank teller named Lisa who lives with her brother.

Back home, Scottie tracks down Briar, Howard’s accountant. Scottie demands to know who her husband was making secret payments to. Of course she brought Solomon along for back-up, he threatens to remove Briar’s head if he doesn’t give Scottie the info.

Meanwhile, Tom is at a dinner party with a bunch of Russian agents, who are all wearing cheesy sweater and boat shoes and pretending to be American clichés. Of course, Tom is amazing at pretending to be someone he’s not, so he blends right in.

During the dinner party, one of the agents named Ivana cracks – she breaks rule number one and starts speaking Russian, she shouts at the cameras that she doesn’t want to do this anymore. Later that night, Gruschenka “takes care of” Ivanka.

Everyone in the party continues as if nothing happened. Tom and his fake wife head home, Cynthia tries to get in the shower with him, but Tom tells her that he is married. Since the shower is the only place where there aren’t any cameras, Tom and Cynthia get to know each other while Tom finishes his shower. He notices a strange red rash on his shoulder, Cynthia says that everyone there has one, they don’t know what its from.

Nez returns to her fake house, and her fake brother’s bags are packed. He says that he has been transferred to America, but he doesn’t seem happy about it. Nez is obviously confused, but she doesn’t have time to figure it out because she has a fake interview at a bank. The manager interviewing her comes on to her and tries to slip a hand up her skirt, Nex promptly slams him down in his chair and chokes him with his tie, then she sits back down in her chair and acts like nothing happened.

Later that afternoon, Nez gets a chance to talk to Tom. She tells him to stop drinking the city’s water, they’re being doped by Grushenka – that’s why they all have rashes. Nez has figured out where the command center is, she wants to take photos with Tom at night and get the hell out of the creepy fake town. Before they can make any more plans, Nez is whisked away by one of Grushenka’s henchmen.

Grushenka was impressed by the video of Nez beating up the banker, she’s ready to put her in to hase two of the program. Nez is shocked when she realizes that Lisa, her fake identity, is a real American woman. And, Grushenka calls in a doctor to perform plastic surgery on her to make her a perfect match to Lisa. It looks like Nez is going to get a nose job that she didn’t sign up for.

Back in the US, Scottie and Solomon track down the detective that Howard was sending money to. Scottie questions him, and is shocked when she learns that Howard was hiring him to find their son.

After dark, Tom and Nez make their move, they sneak out of their houses in the middle of the night and head to the main frame of the city – they are in the process of uploading files when they are caught and the Russians shut down the computer system. Dumont loses the connection, all he and Scottie got were photos and addresses of the Americans that are going to be replaced by Russian doppelgangers.

Nez’s fake brother arrives in America. He heads to the house of the man that he has sent to replace and kills him, and they truly look like twins. Scottie, Dumont, and Solomon race to the addresses. They find all of the Americans dead. Their Russian doppelgangers are pulling off a terrorist attack, and it is going to look like Americans attacked their own country.

Back in Russia, Tom and Nez are still trying to escape from the town. They have to use dynamite to blast their way out of a room they are trapped in, then they hot wire a car.

In America, Solomon tracks down the three Russian doppelgangers, in a van full of explosives, headed to the Supreme Court building. Solomon makes a hilarious half-hearted attempt to get them to hand over the detonator, and when that doesn’t work, he orders his snipers to shoot to kill. The Russian terrorists are dead.

Tom and Nez arrive back in the US, safe and sound, he invites her out to coffee, but she turns him down. Nez heads to her drug dealer’s apartment in a shady building with a wad of cash, it looks like her trip to the creepy Russian town caused her to relapse.

Tom stops by Scottie’s office, she reveals that before Howard died – her husband hired someone to track down their son. Apparently, he had a lead on a boy that was in foster care. Scottie is starting to believe that her son may be alive.

Tom heads to his father’s house, he fills him in on his trip to Russia and the sleeper town they have full of agents.

Howard tells Tom that he thinks Scottie Hargrave is a sleeper agent, just like the people he met in Russia. Howard says that 30 years ago, someone arrived and murdered his mother and took him, and sleeper agent Scottie replaced his real mom.

THE END!
