The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) relationship will be tested. Once she finds out what’s been going on with Quinn (Rena Sofer), Brooke will have a choice to make. Will she stick with Ridge or dump him on the spot?
B&B’s executive producer and head writer, Bradley Bell, talked to Soap Opera Digest about what’s coming up in this storyline. He offered some hints about the tough times “Bridge” will face. “The big question is if this is something Brooke and Ridge can survive, and in the end, we’re going to see if Ridge is Brooke’s great destiny,” Bell said.
Bell was quick to point out that Bill (Don Diamont) is “very dedicated and devoted in his desires and love for Brooke.” It appears Brooke will just have to weigh her options. Ridge’s betrayal will cut deep, but he’ll undoubtedly be apologetic. He might even lie that his scheme to bring Quinn down was still in play.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Bill’s hope for a reunion will start to fade. Does that mean Brooke will give Ridge another chance? We’ll have to wait and see, but it’s unlikely that Brooke will be loyal to Ridge forever. B&B doesn’t let most couples stay together for long.
What about Quinn and Eric (John McCook)? Will they split? If Quinn and Ridge both end up single, they might still be attracted to each other. “Ridge is drawn to the desire that burns within Quinn,” Bell said. That desire is dark and irresistible, so anything can happen.
Bell also addressed the Spectra clan and how their arrival has affected the airtime of other characters. Many Bold and the Beautiful fans objected to the decision to take Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) off canvas. Bell suggested that move was more about Thomas (Pierson Fode). He wasn’t too interested in playing him as a doting daddy.
Nevertheless, Bell admitted that the bond is there and Caroline would probably come back at some point. If you’re missing the Avants, don’t worry. Bell mentioned that “the Spectra family is actually going to be good for the Avant family because there are going to be some interesting crossovers.”
Speaking of crossovers, we could be seeing some Young and the Restless characters pop up on B&B. Likewise, additional B&B characters could have brief stints in Genoa City. Bell seems excited about working with Y&R’s writing team to make that happen.
