The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that a new Hope could be coming to town…sort of. Kim Matula isn’t returning and we aren’t getting a recast, but B&B is about to deliver a new character to fill that void. After months of Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) being the only option, it’s time to throw someone else in the mix.
A leaked audition tape (removed just after CDL posted this exclusive) tells us a bit more about this new character. Her name is Olivia and it appears some of her first scenes will be with RJ (Anthony Turpel). The dialogue in the clip suggests that RJ is applying to be an assistant at a design company. Olivia conducts his interview and things take a strange turn.
RJ is taken aback when Olivia asks some personal questions and wonders if he’d like to kiss her. She eventually tells RJ that she wanted to see how he’d respond to pressure. RJ gets the job and learns that Olivia actually owns the company.
This sets up some interesting possibilities. RJ having a crush would be a no-brainer, but he’s a little young for her. The casting call hinted that Olivia would be in her early twenties. Liam (Scott Clifton) and Wyatt (Darin Brooks) are about to reach their limit of passing Steffy back and forth. One (or both) of them may end up with Olivia down the road.
The Bold and the Beautiful tends to focus on love triangles. Nobody would be surprised if Olivia had two men fighting over her. However, Olivia might start out with one Spencer brother. She has to ease into this complicated world.
Perhaps RJ could even do some matchmaking. If he’s working for Olivia, he could sing her praises to his family. Steffy might hear about Olivia and set her up with the loser of the current battle. Of course, Steffy could get jealous later!
We can’t count Thomas (Pierson Fode) out as a love interest either. Since The Bold and the Beautiful has tossed Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) to the side, there’s no way of knowing how long “Carmas” will last. It might be fun to see RJ be envious of his brother’s bond with Olivia.
Nevertheless, many B&B fans are hoping that Olivia will provide some relief from the Steffy-centered drama. It’s becoming a bit excessive. Olivia should shake things up and give us some fresh material. A desperate Spencer would surely take her! Wyatt and Liam are always looking for love.
