‘The Walking Dead’ Cast Furious Over Low Pay: Norman Reedus And Andrew Lincoln Demand Hefty Raises

‘The Walking Dead’ might be one of the highest rated shows on television, but it looks like the cast is one of the lowest paid. There’s a new report that reveals ‘The Walking Dead’ cast’s salary and it isn’t what you would think.

Reports indicate that both Andrew Lincoln makes about $92,000 per episode and Norman Reedus brings in $124,000 per episode. That is significantly less than actors on other shows that make much more. In comparison, Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham of ‘Gilmore Girls’ make about $2.5 million per episode. ‘The Big Bang Theory’ stars Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, and Johnny Galecki all negotiated a $1 million dollar per episode salary back in 2014.

Yet other reports indicate that Norman recently renegotiated his contract to bring him up to $550,000 per episode. Andrew, meanwhile, renegotiated his at $618,000 per episode for seasons seven and eight of the hit AMC series. Further reports indicate that Chandler Riggs’ contract was fulfilled after filming of the seventh season was completed.

Fans aren’t surprised that Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln demanded a hefty pay raise. After all, the show is one of the highest rated on television right now. Each episode takes about eight days to shoot, which gives ‘The Walking Dead’ cast more work than other television actors on the small screen right now.

Of course, this isn’t the first time ‘The Walking Dead’ cast has made headlines for problems behind the scenes. Back in April it was reported that Norman wanted Glenn and Rick booted off the show just so he could get more screen time with actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan. In fact, Norman has long been a fan favorite and that’s why he’s managed to pull his weight with producers behind the scenes. Insiders reveal that he lobbied hard to get Jeffrey Dean Morgan on the show the same way he managed to negotiate a hefty pay raise. Many fans know that without Norman on the show, ‘The Walking Dead’ just wouldn’t be the same.
