The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal a shocker – a blast from the past could be on his way back to the CBS soap opera. The newest report claims that Joe Clark (Scott Elrod) could be behind Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily Ashby’s (Christel Khalil) marriage being tested.
The Y&R fans have been asking for quite some time why Juliet (Laur Allen) targeted Cane, someone she barely knew, at the time. Is it possible that she was hired to seduce Cane that night in Japan, so his marriage would go up in smoke? But, who would do such a thing? Perhaps, Joe Clark is behind it all.
Two years ago, Joe didn’t make a secret that he had a thing for Lily. He thought Cane wasn’t the right man for her and tried to drive a wedge between them. He went as far as to frame Cane for embezzlement. It was something that almost ended their marriage because he faced a charge of stealing ransom money that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) left for his then wife, Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) kidnapper.
The thing is, it wasn’t Cane’s doing at all. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Joe had tricked Lily into believing that Cane was the one who stole the random money from Devon. She nearly ended her marriage over it. Eventually, Devon and Lily figured out that Joe set Cane up and forced a confession out of him.
It’s been two years since Joe has been seen on Y&R, so it’s about time he could end up back in town. He could still have a thing for Lily. After all, he kept his infatuation with Avery Clark (Jessica Collins) for many years. He could want to ruin Lily’s life, or maybe he wants to separate her from Cane so he can try to earn her forgiveness. Whatever it is, there is something bigger at work and possibly more sinister than Juliet wanting friendship from Cane.
