The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Cane (Daniel Goddard) will feel like the weight of the world is on his shoulders. Juliet’s (Laur Allen) pregnancy turned Cane’s life upside down, but he managed to work through the shock of the situation. He was prepared to co-parent with Juliet, but her stunning death changed everything.
Now Cane will be on his own with little Sam. He’ll wonder how he’s going to tackle this challenge, but he probably won’t have to do it alone for long. Y&R fans know Lily (Christel Khalil) resented Juliet for getting knocked up. It added to the pain of her fertility issues and made her feel like she should’ve been the one carrying Cane’s child.
Since Juliet’s out of the picture, it should be much easier for Cane and Lily to reconnect. Lily will undoubtedly soften as she watches Cane care for Sam. The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that a reunion may be brewing. There’s a good chance Lily and Cane will raise this kid together. Lily can step up to be a mother to Sam and they can repair the damage to their marriage.
Of course, more drama will inevitably hit. Just as soon as Cane and Lily find happiness again, there’s bound to be another obstacle. Once they get back together and bond with Sam, a threat could emerge. Juliet’s father disowned her and isn’t interested in having a relationship with his grandson. How long until Grandpa changes his mind?
Perhaps Juliet’s dad will feel guilty after he’s had some time to mull over his daughter’s death. If not, he could at least decide he wants a grandkid to carry on the family legacy. Nannies could be hired for daily care. Will Y&R bring Juliet’s father to town for a custody battle? Lily and Cane could have a fierce fight on their hands!
Juliet’s dad may be a powerful man with many connections. In other words, this war could be tougher than Cane and Lily expect. The Young and the Restless could use this as another way to pull the struggling couple closer. By the end of this mess, they would hopefully keep custody of Sam and truly fix their marriage.
