The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that despite Juliet’s (Laur Allen) damaging and stretched claims, Cane (Daniel Goddard) will turn to her after Lily (Christel Khalil) leaves him. One of Y&R’s most resonate couples will soon be no more, as a Tokyo-based scandal is about to end Lane’s marriage and family.
Hilary (Mishael Morgan) lit this mess on fire when she encouraged Juliet to sue Brash and Sassy for sexual harassment. Miss Helton wasn’t planning on do anything in response to being fired by Victoria (Amelia Heinle) until the host of the ‘Hilary Hour’ invaded her mind. A referral to ambulance chaser Leslie (Angell Conwell) then sealed Cane’s fate.
Obtained hotel surveillance video clearly showed Cane and Juliet entering Mr. Ashby’s hotel suite after-hours. There is a disputed point about the time they entered the room. Juliet says it was after 2 a.m., but the digital footage time stamp shows that Jane stumbled into the suite after 10 p.m. However, Juliet’s testimony about the time she exited Cane’s room (that being the next morning after 7 a.m.) was visually confirmed as accurate.
Juliet’s case isn’t strong, as she has no real proof that Cane told her in direct words that she had to sleep with him in order to get a job at Brash and Sassy. That sets up Juliet as a legal loser, while Cane’s life has been wrecked regardless of however the jury rules.
Lily feels rightfully betrayed, as Cane withheld the full facts about what happened that night from her. That’s one reason why Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) is ready to hold Lily’s hand the instant she pitches Cane overboard. Lily and Jordan are friends and appear to have chemistry moving forward.
Vickie hasn’t yet learned that Cane set Billy (Jason Thompson) up in Los Angeles. As soon as that reveal drops Cane’s career at Brash and Sassy is toast.
As with Lily, the information Cane withheld from his boss established him as a liar. Compound that with his stupid scheme to sabotage Billy, by paying a video guy to prepare misleading footage with the Professional Hockey League players about betting, and all Cane’s credibility is lost.
So with nowhere to turn for comfort, Juliet’s pretty face will revert to one that’s again appealing. Yes, it seems unlikely right now. But circumstances change on the soaps rather rapidly and we might learn on this week’s new Y&R episodes that Juliet is pregnant with Cane’s baby.
