The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Juliet (Laur Allen) spiked Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) sake bombs. Now pregnant with his child, Miss Helton has been playing a deeper game than anyone in Genoa City ever suspected.
Cane, Lily (Christel Khalil), Vickie (Amelia Heinle), Billy (Jason Thompson), Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood), Hilary (Mishael Morgan), Michael (Christian LeBlanc), Leslie (Angell Conwell) and others have differing opinions about Juliet. But no one, including her targeted victim Cane had any idea what this diabolical person was capable of.
Juliet’s backstory will be filled in as the summer passes. For the moment what matters is that she conceived Cane’s child during a night that was previously considered to be a mistake on both parties’ part.
As viewers recall, Juliet was hired by Victoria to help Cane seal the Sato San (Richard Narita) deal. Mr. Ashby behaved like a summer intern, embracing the influential Japanese businessman. Translate that to millennial speak Siri, “Cane gave the old guy a bro hug.”
Back to fictional reality. Cane and Juliet were told by Vickie to enjoy a night on the town because they successfully secured the Asian region for Brash and Sassy. It then appeared that Cane drank himself silly, while Juliet was only sipping.
After Jane (Juliet plus Cane, because Culiet sounds weird) returned to Genoa City, Juliet told Cane they’d slept together but that she’d keep his secret because what they did didn’t matter. But it mattered to Cane who said that he’d never cheated on his wife. He then withheld the truth and hoped Juliet would go away.
Awhile later Cane sabotaged a DARE commercial that featured Lily. His actual target was Billy and the linked Professional Hockey League deal nearly fell apart as a result of Cane’s foolishly jealous actions. Vickie was able to smooth things over, but had to fire one of her employees due to her client’s demand. Juliet became the sacrifice.
Hilary overheard Cane and Juliet talking about what happened in Tokyo. She then seemed to pressure Juliet into filing a sexual harassment lawsuit which shocked everyone. Juliet knew that the Tokyo hotel had a video security system which covered the area outside of guest rooms. She worked with her attorney Leslie to obtain that digital stunner for the deposition.
Now Juliet’s collapsed while she was having it out with Lily at the Genoa City Athletic Club. That will lead to the pregnancy reveal. Cane will be tagged as the father, which is a key reason why the Ashby twins were recently SORAS’d. The high-schoolers will be dramatically affected and, of course, Lily will be wrecked.
At least one of the players connected to this storyline will wonder if a coming paternity test, that appears to prove Cane is the father was actually altered by the scheming Juliet.
