The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kevin (Greg Rikaart) may be making a comeback. Christian LeBlanc (Michael) recently sent out a tweet that could hint that Kevin’s return to the CBS soap. LeBlanc said, “With this talent monster today!” He included a picture of himself standing next to Rikaart and they were clearly having fun together.
It looks like there are some Christmas decorations hanging in the background of this photo. Could Kevin be headed home for the holidays? Y&R fans would love to see Kevin show up for a festive visit. Michael and Gloria (Judith Chapman) would also enjoy seeing Kevin during this heartwarming time of year. Maybe Kevin needs to pop in with Bella (Gia Poeme) and catch up with his loved ones again
Kevin served as a solid sounding board for Mariah (Camryn Grimes) during his last trip home. There will undoubtedly be some new developments to pass along if Kevin returns. Mariah and Kevin’s friendship is always a highlight, so let’s hope The Young and the Restless keeps it going strong.
Of course, returning to Genoa City could lead to trouble as well. Kevin hacked Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) account for Victor (Eric Braeden), but that may not be the last request “The Mustache” makes. Victor could easily need Kevin’s services again down the road. Kevin might have to play a sinister version of secret Santa. Any gift from Victor would most likely be worse than coal!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Y&R’s new head writer, Mal Young, intends to focus on core characters and fan favorites. He wants to feature the people that really matter to viewers and Kevin is adored by many. Will Young bring Kevin back permanently at some point? It’s a possibility to consider.
Once Young wraps up the current storylines and eventually starts new ones, there should be more options. Young might come up with a hot plot that Kevin could slide right into. It’d be great to see Kevin get back to work at the GCPD. Paul (Doug Davidson) isn’t the best at solving crimes these days, so he could use all the help he can get.
