The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Dina’s (Marla Adams) return to Genoa City will ignite a family war. But the unexpected presence of Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) common enemy will help the currently squabbling siblings to unite. While a bidding war for mommy dearest’s corporation will become a significant plot line, the more important issue will involve bad blood ties that still bind.

Ashley told Ravi (Abhi Sinha) that she hates her mother, which surprised him and The Young and the Restless audience. Many viewers likely weren’t aware of this deep soapy history that Sally Sussman and her team have nicely unearthed for current observation. Having done so, there’s sure to be various retro scenes and newly performed treasures to watch in coming weeks.

Adams first appeared on Y&R in 1986. She was introduced as the former wife of John Abbott (Jerry Douglas). Fans were advised that she not only abandoned her three children (Jack, Ashley and Tracey, Beth Maitland) when they were young, but that she also had an affair which resulted in Ashley’s birth.

Mergeron Enterprises was owned by Dina’s other husband. His death enabled Dina to become a wealthy business owner. Since that time Dina became quite a success in the tech world, so much so that Devon (Bryton James) desires the streaming segment of her enterprise to facilitate his return to the music business.

However, a certain mogul who once purchased control of Mergeron Enterprises in the 1980’s will also have interest in investing again. Of course Mr. Moneybags is Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Fans likely noticed that Victor has been seen around the office more often lately. While he is voluntarily semi-retired, recent betrayals by Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) caused The Moustache to seek refuge in his office.

Victor is still on board with Abby (Melissa Ordway) having measured power, but Victor also wants his fingers near the wheel. The coming exploration of Dina’s company will test Abby’s value and her perception of Victor’s trust.

A potential three-way battle for Dina’s business could include Devon and Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) new company, Newman Enterprises and Jabot. The interplay between any two sides, or all three points on that triangle poking the other(s) is part of what makes daytime drama so enjoyable. Of course, personal conflicts also are desired by a loyal audience that is familiar with all of the players. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless.
