The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Hilary (Mishael Morgan) will use Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) to make Devon (Bryton James) jealous. Her initial belief that Lily (Christel Khalil) was the object of Jordan’s interest will be twisted a bit. Yes, Hevon just might be resurrected as a result as well.
While the future of this troubled couple is far from certain, it’s clear that Hilary and Devon are playing mind games with each other. The idea that this separated duo would willingly choose to remain within the same work space is a bit of a stretch, considering Devon’s substantial wealth. Yet conflict drives soap drama and thus it is what it is.
Devon could have easily given Hilary some other type of job at the website which would have pushed her out of the office. Instead, he opted to keep his wife at the GC Buzz studios and maintain her position as well, though with Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) addition as an add-on for the company’s protection.
In another part of the story, Jordan was hired by Cane (Daniel Goddard) to work on a special Brash and Sassy campaign. He’s already regretting that unilateral move.
Thin-skinned and moody Mr. Ashby seemingly has never dealt with Lily’s mistake with Joe (Scott Elrod). His wife’s unknown past professional connection with Jordan surely seems to have been platonic. But Cane either doesn’t want to recognize that, doesn’t believe that or thinks whatever was true is separate from Jordan being a potential threat to his marriage right now.
Hilary quickly picked up on the fact that Jordan is very social, though hardly can be tagged as having an inappropriate workplace personality. He seems like a decent guy who enjoys his job and makes those who he works with feel comfortable. However, it is understandable that someone like Cane would have his jealously sensors raised because Jordan is appealing to the ladies.
Devon will obviously recognize what Hilary will be doing. He previously sniffed out his wife’s affection for Jack (Peter Bergman), who’s her dad’s age. This time around Jordan’s generational match will adjust Devon’s calculation. And her persistence, or potential relationship development with Jordan will also change the game.
If Jordan’s presence can push Cane’s buttons, Devon’s emotions can be played with as well. That’s the theory Mrs. Hamilton will work off of. The mind of Hilary is working toward a goal again and that gives Hevon yet another chance to live.
