The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers warn that Chloe could be behind the downfall of Chelsea and Nick’s relationship. Did you ever have a well-meaning friend who either said too much and ruined a good relationship, or spilled the beans when they weren’t supposed to? Pretty much everyone has a “Chloe” (played by Elizabeth Hendrickson) in their life. A seemingly well-meaning friend that has to know every detail, and gives you their opinion even when you didn’t ask for it!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is about to go on another date with Nick (Joshua Morrow), and Chloe is telling her this is a big step, the third date means it is serious, and then starts painting a picture of what their future will be like. Chloe’s enthusiastic chatter is causing Chelsea to get nervous and insecure about what will happen with Nick.
While Chloe has been Chelsea’s friend for quite some time, but it was not always this way. There is a great deal of baggage, from kidnapping and restraining orders all the way to Adam’s (Justin Hartley) role in the death of Chloe’s daughter, Delia. Lest we forget that at this point it appears that Chloe might even be responsible for Adam’s death.
The dangerous thing about having a friend like Chloe is that she cannot stop talking! Also, Chloe knows too much about Chelsea, and she also has a history of divulging too much information. The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Chloe may unintentionally learn and then spill the beans on the paternity secret, or reveal more information than necessary about Chelsea’s past. Both of these scenarios spell absolute DANGER for Chelsea’s relationship with Nick.
Remember, Chloe had a huge falling out with Chelsea over Adam’s careless actions that resulted in Delia’s death. Chloe, in turn, once kidnapped Chelsea’s son, Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois ). Chloe has also shown her psychotic side by ripping up one of the dresses Chelsea was going to use in the Jabot Fashion show because of a misunderstanding. While Chloe may have evolved over time, does Chelsea really want someone like this meddling in her love life?
On their third date, Nick comes to pick Chelsea up, and Chloe chats with Nick while he waits for Chelsea to get ready. Chloe joyfully exclaims that they are going on their third date, and things must be pretty serious. Chloe then proceeds to give Nick a recount of Chelsea’s history of depression and darker times, telling him that she was in a black hole and is finally coming out of it. This is NOT the conversation to have with your friend’s date right before they get ready to leave!
For the time being, Chloe seems to have good intentions and a big mouth, which could spell trouble for Chelsea. Being friends with Chloe also compromises Chelsea’s newfound respectable reputation with the Newman family, even though Victor knows her secret. Will Chloe’s erratic behavior cause Nick to think twice about his relationship with Chelsea? Or even worse, Will Chloe be the one to blurt out the truth to Nick about Christian’s paternity if she knows it?
This secret could be the end of Nick and Chelsea. Or could it make their relationship stronger?
