The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, April 20, tease that Jack (Peter Bergman) will put a plot in motion. Now that many of the Newmans have turned against Victor (Eric Braeden), Jack senses this could be a great opportunity. He’ll make a pitch to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and hope that they can team up.
Phyllis will be skeptical after Jack explains his plan. Y&R fans know that Victor is perhaps the most formidable force in Genoa City. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will point out that Victor always comes out on top. Jack will contend that things are different this time. He’ll note that Victor won’t have his family backing him up.
Victor has left Abby (Melissa Ordway) in charge while he’s out of town. She obviously doesn’t have much experience, so it could leave Newman Enterprises vulnerable. Abby could easily become collateral damage if Jack’s scheme moves forward.
Then again, Abby might join forces with Jack eventually. All it would take is a word from Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle) or Nick (Joshua Morrow). If Abby finds out Victor is ultimately to blame for Adam’s (Justin Hartley) death, she could hop on the disgusted bandwagon.
Nevertheless, Nikki will continue her quest to keep everything quiet. She doesn’t want the Newman name sullied any more than it already is. Since Scott (Daniel Hall) still plans to help Victor write his memoir, he poses a real threat.
Nikki will urge Scott to back out of this whole agreement. When Scott questions her, Nikki will suggest there are various skeletons she’d like to keep in the closet. Scott won’t believe this is just some general anxiety about the past. He’ll demand to know what Nikki is trying to hide.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say there’ll be additional tension between Billy (Jason Thompson) and Victoria. When she sides with Juliet (Laur Allen) on a new proposal, Billy will get a little miffed. Victoria will wonder what his problem is. She’ll argue that Juliet’s idea is solid.
Billy won’t be so sure that’s the case. He’ll accuse Victoria of making a powerplay because he didn’t jump back in her arms. Victoria will undoubtedly be offended, which means some serious conflict should be brewing.
Will they ever get beyond all the drama? Would Billy be better off with Phyllis? We’ll give you updates as other news comes in.
