The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Kevin (Greg Rikaart) might actually be Bella’s (Cali May Kinder) dad even though Billy (Jason Thompson) is likely her biological father. Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) insistence that Kevin wasn’t connected to her second daughter seemed somewhat odd. After returning to Genoa City last year she claimed to not have had a paternity test done and therefore couldn’t have been sure.
The Young and the Restless history leaves no doubt that Delia’s (Sophie Pollono) birth happened because Chloe stalked Billy (then played by Billy Miller) when they were both in New York and he was calling himself Liam. Her obsession for this Abbott heir was reborn after their daughter was killed in October 2013.
Adam (then played by Michael Muhney) is believed to have committed that act, left the scene because he was unaware of having done so, later came to think he did so and then didn’t tell the police. Adam’s cowardly choice made him look guilty, even though no actual hard evidence existed that he’d accidentally hit Delia.
The case for Kevin being Bella’s dad is this: He and Chloe were together romantically before she left Wisconsin in 2014. The time frame of their connection coincides with Bella’s birth date. So regardless of whatever any current paternity test shows, Kevin could be her father.
Chloe could easily have a contact in the GC paternity lab who manipulated past and current test results, if that’s what happened. Plus, Y&R fans know that Chloe wanted and still wants Billy to be Bella’s father, not Kevin.
The impact of this reveal will be significant. If Kevin is confirmed as the father he’ll likely pair with someone to help raise his child. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) clearly is the candidate for this slot, unless a new romantic interest is introduced in the near future.
Billy’s life is always messy. He’s currently stuck between longstanding feelings for Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and the crush he first developed for Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) when Burgess Jenkins wore his face. While Vickie is Katie’s (Sienna Mercuri) mother and the adoptive mother of Johnny (Holden and Ryan Hare), the on-again, off-again manner in which she’s treated Billy for years has worn thin. That’s because Phyllis has developed into a viable and very attractive option.
If Billy is truly Bella’s father, which can’t be ruled out and might be seemingly confirmed this week, neither of the women who are interested in him will have anything to be mad about. Billy never knew Chloe stole his DNA, which would make him a legitimate victim.
TPTB at Y&R still have the option of surprising fans with a mysterious third choice, when neither Billy nor Kevin prove to be a match for Bella’s dad.
