The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that no one is more high-maintenance than Pikki Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Talk about ungrateful! Who has Victor (Eric Braeden) given more to on this earth than this woman?
Oh, Needy Nikki acts like she’s all that and a double serving of caviar. But in reality, she would have eventually been fired from The Bayou’s staff for having turned into a lush. From there, Miss Reed’s life likely would have been spent with a Jack Abbott (Terry Lester, at the time) knockoff, or several such gentlemen.
In other words, Nervous Nikki wouldn’t have made it to the penthouse, unless she happened to be cleaning Victor and Douglas’ (Michael Evan) rugs. Her current spot atop Genoa City society has been fully funded by Victor’s infinite generosity and all of the umpteen chances he’s given her since the 1980’s.
Yes, Victor has given Nikki countless opportunities to improve herself. But what has this ingrate done? Well, she’s continued to shout, scream and stomp around like Miss Wiggins from the old Carol Burnett Show.
Hey, Victor wanted Nikki to embrace her musical talent again. That’s a good thing Mrs. Newman. Not tapping the keys for years has caused your abilities to whither.
Have viewers who hold different opinions than the tart one that’s being offered ever considered just how fabulous Nagging Nikki has been living like, well, what seems like forever? She lives in a rebuilt mansion with countless fringe benefits that the elite take for granted. And yes, Sharon (Sharon Case) your firebug actions were being brought up in that last sentence.
We’re all expecting you to go full drama queen on next week’s new Y&R episodes at the charity concert. Maybe you will fall off the bench after fainting, or turn on the waterworks via yet another crying spell. Possibly you will make countless mistakes, shoot a public epithet toward Victor and run off stage. Who knows with you.
Did you think that any of the louts who leered at you years ago ever developed the capacity to name a hospital wing after you? Yeah, we don’t see that either. Recognize how great your life is. Go up there and play your heart out. Then make up with the only man you ever loved.
