The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that recast Adam Newman (most recently played by Justin Hartley) is alive. Adam hasn’t returned to town because he’s hunting for Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). As soon as he locates her, Chloe will be dragged back to town and charged with attempted murder.
Why didn’t Adam Newman immediately contact contact Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) if he survived the cabin blast? That’s one of many good questions that can be asked. That query, along with others should be answered shortly after the recast Adam makes his debut. Considering sourced speculation, the next edition of Adam should be seen late this summer, or in early fall.
Chloe fooled everyone after she agreed to accept Victor’s (Eric Braeden) offer to help him frame Adam for the murder of Constance Bingham (Sally Kellerman). She made the Moustache believe that he was in full control, when he wasn’t. Victor realized that when Chloe refused to turn over the evidence that would have feed Adam from his prison sentence.
Because Adam’s long-time nemesis manipulated the legal process, he was forced to follow his father’s escape plan. After having done so Adam hid out in the ill-fated cabin. He met with Chelsea and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois), along with Victor before Chloe attacked his life again.
Planting a tracking device in Connor’s toy dinosaur allowed her to locate Adam’s remote location. She then beat Nick (Joshua Morrow), Chelsea and Connor to the cabin. After shooting Adam with a tranquilizer gun she gave him what she thought was one last verbal lambasting, ruptured the propane line and then took off. The cabin exploded just as Chelsea was walking toward the structure, while Nick and Connor watched from the car.
Skip ahead in time to Khloe’s wedding day. Adam’s wedding ring was in the Chancellor mansion, inside Chloe’s childhood dresser drawer. Chelsea found the apparent murder trophy, confronted Chloe and was knocked out. Chloe fled, texted Victor and met him at an air strip where the Newman jet was located.
Victor was conned by Chloe again, as she told him that Chelsea found the evidence she’d used to frame Adam for murder. The Dark Knight allowed Chloe to fly away, was found out by Nick, who then told Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Vickie (Amelia Heinle). That entitled trio then defaulted to their hypocrite stances.
Chloe received an unexpected guest shortly thereafter, as Victor used his sources to locate her whereabouts. He gave Chloe money and told her to disappear forever. But Adam has remained motivated to find his almost-killer. When he does the next part of this enduring storyline will cause Y&R’s fan base to erupt (again).
