The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sam Saved, Ashby Family Rejoices - What's Next For Lily and Cain?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) son’s life being saved will increase the possibility that he and Lily (Christel Khalil) will get back together. While Lane’s revival isn’t assured, there are currently no other characters blocking the path to the reconciliation many Y&R fans are hoping to see happen.

Thanks goes out to executive producer and head writer Mal Young for not killing off Juliet’s (Laur Allen) baby. Only the coldest personality type wanted to see another death following the demise of Miss Helton and Zack (Ryan Ashton). No one was grieving Mr. Stinnett. But fair-minded viewers were sorry to see Juliet pass, even though her presence created significant drama since the infamous night in Tokyo.

Savvy soap fans weren’t sure if Sam was going to make it, as this new character hadn’t been seen on-screen. As Genoa City devotees recall, Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) was seen, albeit in a manikin form, when he was in the neonatal intensive care unit. So one can assume that Y&R simply wanted to keep its audience guessing in this instance.

Cane is thrilled about what’s transpired, as he wasn’t sure if his second-born son would survive. But Sam has, which appears to be helping to heal the Ashby family. Encouragingly, Lily has restored her support. Her first name suggestion, which honors Cane’s fallen sister, underscored Lily’s love for her husband.

A heart-warming scene took place recently. Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) encouraged Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) to go with him to visit their dad at the hospital. She refused at first, but later appeared at GC Memorial so she could give blood which Sam needed.

Mattie was still put-off by Cane’s insistence that she not see Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), though her dad had relented after the Halloween night fire. Lily was present at the aforementioned Crimson Lights’ scene as well. The skilled mom didn’t push her daughter, which then enabled Mattie to make up her own mind.

Cane will now obviously need help in raising Sam, especially considering this little boy’s fragile health. He’s been living at the Chancellor mansion and Jill (Jess Walton) is scheduled to return to town soon. So it’s possible that Cane doesn’t move home right away.

Hopefully the Advent season and the eventual celebration of Christmas will convince Lily to give Cane a second chance. He may not deserve it, but her compassion just might extend further then it already has. Y&R spoilers also tell us that Lily’s jealousy over a hot nanny Cane hires will spur her to reunite with Sam’s dad ASAP!
