The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Victor could be Scott’s father. From the time that Scott “Scotty” Grainger (Daniel Hall) went missing, his mother Lauren Fenmore (Tracy Bregman) came unraveled. Somehow, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) got involved in rescuing Scott and handling a situation with kidnappers.
Victor dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and resources, as well as a sizeable amount of ransom money in an effort to bring Scott back home, unharmed. Victor’s sudden acts of kindness make Y&R fans ask: is there a hidden motive to rescue Scott? Victor Newman doesn’t engage in extravagant acts of kindness for no reason. Victor doesn’t really know Scott. Victor claims to be a fan of Scott’s work, but he isn’t THAT interested in journalism! There is no logical connection here. It is not as though Scott is Victor’s son… or is he?
Let’s take a look at Victor’s dynamic with Lauren – this is a classic case of a damsel in distress with her knight in shining armour swooping in to save the day. And what better way to a woman’s heart than to save the life of her child in danger?
Victor is very moved by Lauren’s emotional well-being, even more so than Lauren’s husband, Michael Baldwin ( Christian LeBlanc ). Lauren is beside herself, and Michael has the nerve to tell her to she is worrying too much! Victor serves as Lauren’s anchor, and provides emotional support, as if to silently say “I am taking care of the situation, and I am taking care of you.”
Lauren is overwhelmed with gratitude, and she gushes about how she is forever indebted to him and she can never repay him. At some point, he even says he will find a way for her to repay him! Scott says the same thing, and Victor says he may need his help in the future. Both Lauren and Scott are forever indebted to Victor.
Once Scott is safely home, Victor goes the extra mile, once again, as if he hasn’t done enough already, and also makes sure that Scott’s driver, Ahmed, is safe. Shortly thereafter, Victor asks for Scott’s help with an autobiography. Scott tells him he will do it on one condition – that Victor is going to allow for a no-holds barred tell all. Scott will be able to interview family, friends and enemies.
After some deliberation, Victor tells Scott they have a deal! Who knows what could happen? No wonder Nikki is nervous! Nikki reminds Scott she lived through those tough times when Scott asks her about her reservations about sharing Victor’s life with the public and bringing back memories. Victor seems as though he is ready to face his demons by moving forward with the autobiography.
Have you ever heard the expression that life imitates art? Unfortunately, this is history repeating itself for Scott: Not too long ago, Scott was faced with a similar predicament where his mother’s past, albeit a false tale, was revealed to him by his mother’s arch-nemesis Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) through the guise of an idea for a novel. Through writing about others, Scott learns details about his life and family history.
Given their close relationship, The Young and the Restless spoilers claim it is quite possible that Lauren and Victor had an affair, and Scott will uncover that Victor is his father while writing the autobiography. Is the autobiography a plot by Y&R writers to reveal that Victor is really Scott’s father?
This novel may be Victor’s way of coming to terms with the events of his life and the actions he took – for better or worse. This may be Victor’s way of revealing Scott’s true identity without exposing himself to rejection.
Scott even told Victor that people are forgiving when a person is authentic and shares who they really with the public. Perhaps that will be true for Scott when he learns the truth about his paternity and Victor?
