The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has officially given up on reconciling with her ex-husband, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) after she catches him kissing Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) in the elevator at work.
Fans of the CBS daytime drama have watched Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) struggle with his own infidelity amidst learning of Billy’s indiscretions with his older brother, Jack’s (Peter Bergman) ex-wife, Phyllis. Cane seems to be very interested who Billy is with and making sure to expose Billy’s affairs to everyone, especially to Victoria.
Why would Cane make it his mission to break Victoria’s heart? The answer is simple: He knows his marriage is on shaky ground now that Juliet Helton (Laur Allen) has moved to Genoa City and very much a part of his daily life. Y&R spoilers suggest Cane has feelings for Victoria and destroying Billy is just a bonus for him.
The Young and the Restless viewers have loved supercouple, Cane and Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) for a long time and are sure to be in an uproar over their split, but it has been a long time coming. Lily is not a wilted flower; she is strong and independent woman who will not be able to forgive the fact that Cane hid what happened with Juliet; but maybe the reason he hid the truth is because he knew his marriage couldn’t survive another affair.
Victoria is done with Billy, thanks to Cane conveniently making sure she caught Billy with Phyllis. The Young and the Restless spoilers say she will throw herself into her work along with Cane who is also commiserating the demise of his own marriage. It would be logical that these two would become very close as misery loves company.
If Cane and Victoria are to join forces, they could be the next big power couple in Genoa City, whether it will be a love match or not, remains to be seen. There is another behind-the-scenes factor at play here. All Young and the Restless fans paying attention have noticed that Y&R Executive Producer Mal Young strongly favors Daniel Goddard’s acting abilities – of course Mal realizes that hooking up Cane with Victoria will provide the Cane character with a huge boost!
