The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Cane (Daniel Goddard) will demand a paternity test. Juliet (Laur Allen) stunned Cane with the news of her pregnancy and a doctor confirmed it. However, there’s no guarantee this baby is actually Cane’s. He’ll certainly want to get to the bottom of that before they move forward.
Of course, Cane is at least an option. The paternity test might confirm his worst fears. Still, “Lane” fans get their knickers in a knot when Cane and Lily (Christel Khalil) clash for too long. Perhaps that means Juliet is either lying or mistaken about her “baby daddy.”
The Young and the Restless could go in any direction with this. Some people think Billy (Jason Thompson) is a possibility and we can’t rule it out. Nevertheless, it doesn’t seem like Y&R wants to give Billy another kid right now. If they wouldn’t even make Bella (Gia Poeme) his daughter, why would they give him a child with Juliet?
They could identify Billy as the father before Juliet suffers a miscarriage, but there still wouldn’t be a lot of drama involved here. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is hot for Billy and would probably support him no matter what. We should definitely consider other options.
Juliet had a hard time saving the deal when Cane bungled things with Mr. Sato (Richard Narita) in Tokyo. Could she have offered sex at some point that evening? Juliet may have slept with Mr. Sato before or after hooking up with Cane. You never know what might’ve happened off screen.
Mr. Sato was awfully uptight though. He didn’t seem like the type who would go for that kind of agreement. Plus, viewers might object to how Asians were portrayed in this storyline. It would be risky for The Young and the Restless to take this route.
A fourth possibility could just be some random guy that Juliet slept with. She had no qualms about hopping in bed with Cane, so maybe she’s a bit of a tramp. Juliet may realize that there are other father candidates, but she wouldn’t want to reveal that unless forced. This pregnancy obviously helps her case.
Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) is another one to look at. He’s good at keeping secrets and clearly enjoys his sex life. Jordan was outraged when he saw how involved Hilary (Mishael Morgan) was in Juliet’s lawsuit. He’s been quite concerned about the fallout for Lily, too. Does he have a guilty conscience?
If Hilary chooses to blow all of this up, she could blow up her own romance as well. Y&R may have some big surprises in store. Who will be exposed as the father of Juliet’s baby?
