Camilla Parker-Bowles Refers To Prince George and Princess Charlotte As Her Grandchildren

Camilla Parker-Bowles has done something that she’s never done before, and that is called Prince George and Princess Charlotte her grandchildren in public. Prince Charles’ wife spoke about the two young royals and their love for a certain condiment while appearing on Master Chef Australia.

The Duchess of Cornwall said that she and Prince Charles always keep ketchup in the refrigerator for their grandchildren as they are “rather addicted to it.” She told television show host Gary Mehigan made the revelation when asked about her kitchen essentials. Camilla named olive oil, tomato puree, and of course, ketchup for Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

“For my grandchildren,” she said, “They are rather addicted to ketchup,” she said.

For many royal observers though, it’s interesting to hear Camilla Parker-Bowles refer to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children as her own. After all, there is very little evidence available that proves Camilla has spent much time with the two young children. If there is anyone who has been a fixture in their lives, it’s Kate Middleton’s own mother, Carole Middleton.

She has made quite an effort to be present in Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s lives by traveling with the royal couple during their overseas trips, babysitting Prince George, and even having the two young royals over at the Middleton Manor during special holidays.

Of course, no one really knows what goes on behind closed palace doors. But seeing how Camilla Parker-Bowles and Kate Middleton often look distant with one another during their public appearances, many royal critics are surprised to hear Camilla speak so fondly about the young royals.

To complicate matters even more, many reports have suggested that Prince Charles has been very eager to spend more time with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. After all, if there is one person who will be preparing them for their royal duties and responsibilities later on in life, it’s him.

But for some reason or another, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have made it clear that they prefer to spend more time with the Middletons than the rest of the royal family at Buckingham Palace. As a matter of fact, it took Prince Charles a few weeks before he met the newest addition to the royal family, Prince Louis.
